Wake me when the real playoffs start.  There's at least four too many teams in the field (and probably eight too many).

Woo playoff thread! Finally! Who's excited to see Clippers-Grizzlies? The question is not whether there's going to be a fight at some point, it's who's going to be involved in it. These teams hate each other. And I love it. Also, my perception of Chicago as overrated continues to be vindicated... remember, the Heat took four straight off them when they had Rose. And Asik. And Kyle Korver (think they could use some three point shooting now?) They can win regular season games, but that's it. I'm calling the sweep for Brooklyn.

I don't understand how the team from 2 years ago affects them this year. I don't think they've been overrated this year. I think everyone has basically called them an average team without Rose, and they've been basically that. They're 45-37, and didn't even win their division. How are they overrated?

Yay!  Playoff thread.

Low scoring game so far.  Pretty boring games so far.  The only game that wasn't a blow out was the one I wanted to be.  At least the Nugs can win at home when they're not playing their best game.

Unless Curry and Thompson both get hot and Barnes decides to be aggressive for more than one play per game... Thompson and Bogut were big bright spots in game #1.

Truth.  As a Denver sports fan you learn really quickly to not take anything for granted.

Curry was really impressive.  I'm still trying to figure out why Iggy wasn't covering him in crunch time when he hit the game tying 3 over Lawson.  That dick can shoot.

Yes I can definitely see the nuggets playing worse (even getting Faried back), the problem is I don't see the warriors playing better. I think GS wins a game in Denver, but will lose in 5.

like andre miller remembering he is 73 years old and getting his ass back on the bench? Also never played in the 2nd round of his 40 year nba career.

Curry was not impressive in the first half and continually failed to run the sets towards the end of the game.  He had a pretty shiatty game.

yes but did you see that 3 pointer he hit. I think the nuggets had like single digit assists that game (6?) how can you win with that few assists?

He hit 3 three's in a row to erase the nuggets lead too.  I missed the first half so i don't know about that but he was pretty huge at the end.

47-46 Chicago at the half.

Nice finish to the half.  Let's hope it stays like this through the second.

Hinrich (sp?) is a surprisingly good defender for a small white guy. When they broke the Heat streak, there was this one play toward the end when Chris Bosh pulled down a rebound and Hinrich just ran right up to him and ripped it away.
