Yeah, apparently. Two out of three games isn't a sweep. Two of the double-header? Okay, I guess.... but greening this is obviously a corrective measure to balance out all of the Boston love from the past week. Probably good to get back to normal.

In fairness, 2 out of 3 is about as much as the Royals can hope for. Call it a Kansas City sweep.

/yeah it's still kinda called that for a doubleheader
//but I don't think anyone says anything along the lines of breaking out the brooms unless it's regarding the full series

I believe that is called being a Kansas City sports fan. All sports, even the local colleges and high schools. It is the reason I buy the MLB.com package on a month to month basis instead of saving money and buying the whole year package. I usually stop renewing it around July or August. The Royals just feel different this year.
/I probably said that around this time each of the last 20 years though too...

This.  Do the folks in KC use a different kind of broom than the rest of us?  Maybe one that only gets 2/3rds of the dirt up or something?

Hey we get excited when we don't lose 90 games. We pretty much have to settle for the "has a great personality" and hump the bejesus out of that fat chick.

Most Red Sox fans are doing that this year, especially the media. The opening day Boston Globe sports section was entirely "team chemistry" themed.

If the bats heat up this team will be playing meaningful games in September. The pitching is rock solid and the defense is what we knew we had. Moore's reeling and dealing offseason is looking better every day.

OK, we get it.  EVERYONE, I AM PERSONALLY APOLOGIZING on behalf of all Bostonians to Kansas City fans.  It was not fair to dish off Scott Pioli, Romeo Crennel, Charlie Weiss, and especially Matt Cassell to a hopeful passionate fanbase such as yours.  I'm not sure it justifies mocking tragedy and healing, but, well, to quote someone we all know.."It is what it is."

I still can't believe their pen blew another one this weekend, I thought it would be lights out, especially Herrera.  They need 2 of the Hosmer, Moose, Sal group to emerge or they just won't be good enough.

I don't know about mocking tragedy, outside of a few trolls that I saw on ESPN. We're just happy that we took both games of a doubleheader from one of the hottest teams in baseball. You guys are still rocking a .666 winning percentage and have a hell of a team.

Did somebody mock the tragedy? If so, that is completely classless. I apologize on behalf of my city for that (hopefully) small number of methed out retards.

I'm really tired of waiting on Moose. Give him another week or so, then send him back to the minors. I don't feel great about anybody that we'd bring up to replace him, but Moose sort of is what he is at this point in his career.

The keys on offense this year is Moose and Hoz if they have good years it's going to be ok. Perez was never expected to be a major bat when he was working his ways thru the system. If he's a batting stud that's a huge boost

Doubly-so the Royals sweeping an on-the-road doubleheader.  Domestic mass-murders/terror-attacks are sadly much, much more common than that.

Greg Holland claimed both saves. Which hasn't happened in a KC doubleheader since 2003

Preaching to the choir there. I'm a season ticket holder.

I'm not necessarily proud to say it, but there's a good chance I wouldn't have started buying Sporting season tickets several years ago if I thought I might want to go to more Royals games, though. Only so much time and money I can spend on sports. A great gameday experience and a winning product on the field is going to win that battle every time.
