Rooby Roo was my favorite cartoon as a kid, we used to watch it all the time.  In 1969 I turned 11, I would have sworn I was watching it when I was 8 or 9.

So yeah, I can forgive the slip.

It's no fair holding democrats to the same standards as republicans.  Besides, a gaffe is a gaffe.  A person messing up which cartoon they watched when they were 4 is absolutely the same as a person being off by 15 years when talking about the olympics or making up attacks to generate sympathy.

Three or four years is a lot less of your life when your're in your forties than it is when you're in your twenties.

If Obama had said something similar, the GOP would be calling for a series of hearings, each longer and more pointless than the last.

At least they'd stop talking about Benghazi.

Claim:
"I certainly do remember that trip to Bosnia," Hillary said, "and ... there was a saying around the White House that if a place was too small, too poor, or too dangerous, the president couldn't go, so send the First Lady. That's where we went. I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

Fact: Sheryl Crow, and comedian Sinbad who both accompanied hillary have called her a liar and that they were not under fire nor did they even feel threatened.

There's a minor character in Scooby Doo named "Ben Gazi". The scandal runs deeper. What is Chris Christie trying to hide?

Candygram for Mongo: fark Scrappy though.

Scrappy is an abomination that took Scooby from tolerably camp to pants shiattingly stupid. Even my seven year old self wouldn't watch any Scooby cartoon with scrappy in it.

gadian: My dad is a huuuge Scooby Doo nut.  I've always promised myself that if I ever "make it big" or you know, get a real job that pays more than I need, I'd buy a Mystery Machine looking van, have it completely done up and give it to him for his birthday one year.  Of course he looks more like Old Man Jenkins than Shaggy these days, but I'm sure he'd still go for a ride for a few Scooby Snacks.

sumida sublight: Yeah, my memory of what cartoons I was into before I turned 10 is hazy at best. Lots of Superfriends, lots of Scooby-Doo, lots of Battle of the Planets, but if you asked me to actually put a time frame on any of them, I'd be completely at a loss.

No outrage from this farklib.

I should add, it probably doesn't help that through my whole childhood, I lived in the same house and my parents worked at the same jobs, so there weren't any big reference points to frame my Saturday morning routine against.
