Easy answers to "slip-ups"
1. So she was 20.... doesn't mean she didn't do it.
2. So she wasn't given her name at birth, they waited 5 or 6 years.
3. He wasn't in Arkansas at that time.
4. "Mama" still sang him to sleep at 27.
5. They were snipers, only shooting at her. The other 2 weren't targets.

So the media has run out of ideas on how to bash Republicans so now they have to critcize his Scooby Doo memory?  Get a life Morans.  Scooby sucked after the first couple of years anyway and really hit it's lowest with Scrappy Doo.

friday13: mbillips: Scooby-Do, and all Hannah Barbara cartoons, sucked then and suck now. I was 7 when it premiered and already I could tell that much. I was already well hooked on Looney Tunes, and could tell the difference between classically animated shorts made for adults to watch at the movies, and that dreck.

But if you can't BS a 4-year-old to build up his self esteem, who can you BS?  HE gets a pass, and Politifact gets a pass for just goofing on a "scandal." Lighten up, y'all.

If you're going to troll, don't make it so gottverdammpt obvious.

/Would some kind Deutschelander kindly check my spelling/usage there?

No, seriously, I hated Scooby Do.

1. Hippies. In 1969, if you were a normal American kid in regular America, you were taught to despise and make fun of hippies. I was in East Tennessee. Every kid in my elementary school had a buzzcut haircut. Most of what people think of as the '60s actually happened in the '70s if you weren't rich/in college.

2. It's aimed at very little kids and stoners. I was too old for Scooby Do by the age of 7. You get your sense of humor from Tex Avery and Chuck Jones, you move straight on to Monty Python without thinking that "RUH ROH, RAGGY!" is the height of humor. Also, I could already tell the difference between 1930s-40s movie studio animation, and the "South Park" quality crap that Hannah Barbera churned out.

3. Scooby and Shaggy are the protagonists, and they're cowards. I was reading Kipling and the Narnia books by age 8, and eventually wound up in a still ongoing military career because of all the Victorian hero books I read and John Wayne movies I watched.

I like/tolerate the show a lot more now, but it was all boxed up in my "this sucks" zone when I was little. It's certainly a lot better than the action-figure ads that passed for kid's cartoons in the '80s. Fortunately, cartoons have gotten good since the Simpsons led the charge; very little from the past 50 years stands up to "Phineas and Ferb."

(But everything Seth McFarlane does sucks).
