I can get nacho fries at the place across the street from my local Wendy's, so I'm OK.

? Our Wendys has chili cheese fries, id say that's more random than nacho fries.

We need the KFC durian milkshakes here in the states!

FTA:  You know what the problem is with American donuts? The complete lack of meat. How are we supposed to get our protein if our breakfasts only consist of chocolate or glazed donuts?

The local bakery here has a maple-glazed bacon-sprinkled donut bar that, when served warmed, is life changing.

On a whim, I tried the brie cheese bites at McDonald's while I was in France. (Train stations give you limited options.) They looked like triangular chicken nuggets. They tasted like... funky brie flavored plastic. Who buys these things when they have such fabulous cheese readily available? On the other hand, their french fries were still delicious.

When I was in Denmark, the McDonald's there sold a Quarter Pounder with cheese and Bacon.

Was the only good thing in that nation.

Durian's horrible and most societies with any sense have banned them from public areas.

All you people who are Ipressed with "maple bacon donuts" - have you never had pancakes with maple syrup and a side of bacon? You all seem mystified that some shiatty donut joint combined the tastes of maple syrup and bacon.

Asian Pizza Hut does a seafood pizza that's pretty tasty. Also, the hummus and falafel sub that Subway sells in India is better than anything they sell in the US, ditto for the chicken tikka sub. Oh, and KFC in China has a wrap with chicken strips, cucumber, and duck sauce that I really wish they'd sell in the US.

Basically, every US fast food chain sells their best options everywhere but the US.

Americans have to trek to both the Wendy's and Taco Bell drive-through windows if they want to dine on something that awesome. Your move, USA.

I'm in California, if I want nacho fries I'll go to a hole in the wall Mexican joint.

I know you can get fries at Wendy's in Canada with nacho cheese sauce and chili. They keep jalapeno guacamole on hand for the Baja salad, I bet you could just get them to put a scoop on the chili fries.

I am vaguely reminded of some old wisdom, which is that if you see an elderly southern black gentleman doing up a BBQ on the side of the road in the really deep south, you should probably stop and have some farking excellent BBQ.

Well, UAE diners are probably laughing at its quaintness while they unhinge their jaws and shove a Mega Mac down their throats. That's right-while we get Ronald McDonald's pity ration of two patties, other countries are getting Big Macs made with four layers of beef and three buns.

Haha UAE. The plan to make you as fat as America is working. Now eat your Mega Mac, you've got a decades of unhealthy eating to make up for but I have confidence that you can catch up with the Americans in record time.

Taro is a starchy tuber. In pie form it is purple and tastes kind of like sweet popcorn.  Of course, it's the base for the traditional Hawaiian dish of poi, & I also saw it sold whole at the grocery store, but I don't know what else it is commonly used for.

I'm in PoDunk Nebraska. The KFC here is teamed up with a Long John Silvers. I can't get the potato wedges here. If you ask for them, they give you the shiatty LJS fries instead.

Black Bean Burgers are pretty awesome. I didn't think they'd be any good, since I'm a God Loving American Carnivore, but my girlfriend made some one day and I was pretty impressed.

We have that "Tower" sammich from KFC in Canada. My god, it's disgusting. There is so much salt in it that by the time I was halfway through it, I was gagging after every bite. I threw it out.

Gouda shrimp cutlet sounds pretty good, actually.

But fries with spaghetti? That strikes me as weird.

KFC in America does NOT have fries. They have a disgraceful array of wedges, but no fries.

For good fries, go to Australia. :D They're peppered with a tasty chicken salt.

KFC potato wedges > any fast food fries.

But I'd be willing to trade them for KFC of Canada's poutine.

Sometimes it's interesting to see what's different in the global chains.

Samurai pork burgers are in some way more foreign than a pad Thai from some street vendor. It's like the uncanny valley of food.

/Starbucks in Korea was disappointing, the stuff was exactly the same as at home. Same decor, too.

It is also used for sweet delicious taro bread. Taro bread you must go to Hawaii to get as it is not on the mainland.

They also use it for some Japanese stuffed curry breads in Hawaii.

I really need to save up my money and go back to Hawaii again...

And that's relevant why?  I assume you never set foot in 7/11 either, since that's an American company and all.  You're so superior, refusing to eat at a place that Thais eat at all the time.
