Draymond Green is apparently the best on the ball defender the Warriors have.

That's not (just) mocking them or him.  I mean that seriously.  He apparently really is the best guy they have for that job.

Does anyone really care about the NBA?  Not picking a fight or trolling. I haven't meant too many people that care any more. When only two or three teams have a chance to win the championship it really reduces my interest. Same with Jordan and the Bulls.

Hey guys!  What's this about playing 15+ years and never getting out of the first round?

If you actually legitimately enjoy a sport, you want a sport where the best teams win consistently.  The problem with the NBA is not that the best teams win too often, it's that the schedule is too long.  You don't need eighty-two games and a possible twenty-eight playoff games to figure out Miami was the best team last year.  On the flipside, having sports journalists repeatedly scream that Team X has no chance of winning and repeatedly feigning surprise when the underdog wins is not interesting.  Having a team ride through the playoffs because the design of the sport rewards teams for being "hot" at one position is not interesting.  The NBA does it the right way: Best teams win, usually meaning the basketball becomes better as the playoffs go on.

It is a little disconcerting that we dont even get NBA threads for the playoff opening round.

Yea, I figure one "Game" thread each day that has games isn't too much to ask for. Maybe no one has submitted any??

Whether or not you care about the NBA depends whether or not you care about your local NBA team. I love watching the Warriors.

Then again, when our single best player/defender is lost for the playoffs, and in his absence a 37 year old drives into the paint for a game winning layup, I become a little less interested in watching. At least, this year.

Pish Posh, Professor Miller was on fire last night. Lee wouldn't have stopped him. It isn't like the Nuggets are injury free either =\

Serious.  I miss those.

Mostly blowouts so far.  The one game that was really close was the one I wanted to be a blowout.  Good sign that the Nugs can get a win when they don't play their best game.

And why the truck didn't Karl put Iggy on Stephanie Curry?  Why wouldn't you want one of the best perimeter defenders on the best shooter in the game on their last possession?

I submitted some.  I guess we'll have to make our own.  Or maybe they put it on the entertainment tab and I just forgot to look tthere.

David Lee is neither your best player nor defender.

Andre Miller is primarily known as a passer - his drives usually end in kick-out passes and his shot at any range is unreliable at best (though he is a good free-throw shooter).  Which MIGHT explain why the Warriors' defense against him at the top of the key with the ball was to empty out the entire middle and leave the defender on him 1-1 with zero internal support. The way that play unfolded had less to do with Miller and more to do with the Warriors completely over-playing their defensive set to the point that ANY penetration resulted in an open path to the basket.
