Oh, well. 3 Doors Down sucked anyway. Unfortunately, they can hire another bassist in about 15 minutes, and resume playing county fairs, or whatever the fark it is they're doing at the moment.

Nathan: Aw come on, you dicks, he's the bass player. Without him, we're nothing. Sure, we mix his bass out of pretty much every song, but we need him.[pause] Okay, we really don't need him, but it's my fault he's this way; I guess that's my point!

Couldn't they just poach a bass player from some other 90s band? What's the bass player for Stroke 9 up to these days?

We're here without you bassist, but you're still on our lonely mind. We dream about you bassist, and we think about you all the time....

Having only a Dark Ages grasp of the law, I wonder how this will play out in court.  Sure, he caused an accident that resulted in a fatality, but it's also very possible the deceased would have survived had he been wearing a seat belt.

In a civil case, it's likely any damages awarded to the dead guy's family/estate would be reduced based on the fact that he wasn't wearing a seat belt.

When I was 17 (I think) I happened to be at a music fest where 3 Doors Down were playing. I very vocally booed them. It would have been more lulzy had there been any actual fans there.

When my 10-year-old was listening to the local Top 40 station recently, I heard the newest singles from the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 back-to-back. So: yes, it is.

All three of them?

Horrible band and horrible prima donnas. I went to a show they headlined for the two opening bands once. They showed up late, insisted on a full sound check, and had to start the show on time. This meant the lines several blocks long started getting entrance when the first band started. Everyone was patted down, so we got our seats as the second band started. There were people filing in until the end of the second band.

Dear lord, when my kids were little I made the mistake of getting the girl child a karaoke machine for Christmas and the elder of the boy children discovered "Kryptonite" on one of the karaoke CDs.  I never want to hear that song ever again. Srsly.

Man that's sad. This dude was on top of the world for a while and now look at him. There should be a law requiring a course of therapy and some heavy financial counseling before anyone is allowed to sign a record contract. Fame destroys the unprepared.

All I can say is from my own experience:  Drink at home and don't drive.  Drive sober and always wear a seat-belt.   Why, in this day and age of information these practices remain a mystery to others is beyond me.   But what do I know... I've only lost one sibling, my mother, three close life-long friends and nineteen classmates to drunk drivers.

This guy is over 40 and has had 13 years to get used to fame. He's been in a band that put together 3 albums that at least went gold. Even getting a lesser share of royalties, he should have had enough money and common sense to know that if you're going to go out and get wasted, call a cab or call someone to give you a ride.

Yeah, but the article is about the 3 Doors Down guy. If he had been hit by anyone else, we wouldn't even be talking about it. Where's your heartfelt tribute to windshield guy?

Yep. The short bus.  You were the only survivor since you stayed home that tragic day due to all the bugs you were busy suckle-licking off from your bedroom window. Kudos to your Momma btw. Had it not been for her ignoring your bi-weekly diaper changes, those li'l Snack-gnats swarming towards the morning sun would've never grown the bacteria eating maggots feeding off your nether regions.  Be happy!  You're the few, the proud, the quarantined!!

How does one get charged with bringing a controlled substance into the jail? Was he not searched and relieved of all contraband when he was arrested? Are the arresting officers complicit in his crime? Since he was in custody and had no way of discarding or disposing of his illegally held controlled substances, is he still punishable for that? What a weird law.

indeebud: Yep. The short bus.

Ha, you were classmates with 19 people that took the short bus, that means you were retarded too. I assume the rest of your post is about Power Rangers
