He is only suspended during investigation, not given suspension for punishment.  I do agree suspension with pay as a punishment is pointless.  Suspension with pay during investigation is understandable if the findings clear his name.  It would suck to get suspended w/o pay and had done nothing wrong.

Every coach I ever had could have been charged with verbal abuse, most are like drill sargents and strung together profanities that makes sailors blush.
