miss diminutive: atomicmask: You are leaving out he part where they were taken over by arabs, then mongols, that typically results in the population getting bred with arab or mongol blood. Hence why they look like arabs and have arab features.

By that logic (I use the term loosely) that would make Spanish, Hungarian, Chinese, Serbian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Polish and countless other people "Arabs".

Don't forget the Fingolia.

vento: Why in the heck are people in Boston, and in the area in question, out walking around?  And in hoodies and/or with backpacks?

I almost always have a hoodie on, and my normal every day bag is a backpack. A stuffed animal backpack, but still, a backpack. They might just be doing normal things.

styckx: JusticeandIndependence: styckx: How can these guys go door to door entering peoples homes at will and you're not allowed to refuse? People are basically locked in their homes.. It's martial law without being martial law

I don't think are just entering people's homes at will.

So far it's just a request to stay in your home.  There is no mandate.

CNN said if these guys knock on your door and you're not home they have ways of entering

/i know, it's CNN

Yes, pretty much a large incision in the flank, gives access to the ascending aorta and lungs -- useful for deflated lung, bleed and pnuemothorax (gas or liquid in the pleural cavity

So the police get a free pass to barge in without a search warrant and toss every farking house in Boston if they want. If you're not home they'll let themselves in.

I realize they've got to find the guy, but this seems like overkill and not exactly constitutional. I suspect police all over the country will be using this convenient tactic now whenever there's a fugitive.

And you call yourself a Farker?

Also, the open mic thing may be due to some of the officers having voice activated mics, those things always work like shiat. Open when you aren't talking but there's background noise, but never open when you're trying to say something.

Reminder - 45 Senators just voted to let Dzhokhar Tsarnaev buy weapons at gun shows w/no inconvenient background checks.

LAST TIME, people: Background checks are not permission, they are rejection.  Put another way: a background check would not stop an immigrant with a state-provided ID, but a law-abiding citizen named John Wilkes Booth would be told to wait 7 days while they look into it further.

There's nothing WRONG with a background check, but it's not magic, either.  It's still not enough to stop a first-time buyer with no criminal record who never reported the side-effects of a recent Cymbalta prescription.

According to the website spotcrime.com, Tamerlan was arrested for domestic violence in July 2009 after assaulting his girlfriend.

Okay, presuming it resulted in a conviction, that would probably prevent him from passing a background check. Now how about his brother?

His NINETEEN year old brother?

Age 18 for a long gun in Massachusetts.

Is that what he has?

Grobbley: The emotional responses to this "stupid bullshiat" would indicate to me that they feel their view of reality is threatened by it.

/I don't personally believe any of the shiat from the image, but I do find the responses to be humorous and illuminating

No. It's like a child saying "HEY!"
"HEY!"
"HEY!"
"HEY!"
"HEY!"
"HEY!"
"HEY!"

You see, my sister in law is dumb as stump and kept posting the "Obama is the devil in Hebrew" video.
After we told her it was nonsense, she started with the whole "Oh, I know. But don't you think it's interesting? Everyone should see it."
You want to feel involved and maybe feel like you have a bet in the game, but sooner or later, you're going to have to ante up something else or fold, because you keep playing the same cards.
The responses you seem to love aren't interesting to you. They're feeding your need to be seen.

That's not exactly true (here in CO anyways), you can get a gun w/ a background check if you are from other states with which CO has reciprocation agreements for background checks (most of our adjacent states), but if you're from another country, there is a rather specific and lengthier process that you must go through (the last store I worked at sold guns, we had some really nice mexican guys who liked skeet shooting).

Nana's Vibrator: Tozmo: Dimensio: Shyla: TMZ says reddit has a 100% authentic picture of the deceased suspect. I tried to find it on reddit but I can never find anything on that mess of a website.

I located a direct link. Authentic or not, the image is very graphic; the body shows an injury inconsistent with a bullet wound (in addition to several consistent with a bullet wound).

That may be a thoracotomy "incision", which is weird because I don't know if it's indicated for penetrating AND blunt trauma (it's only indicated for penetrating trauma to the chest with loss of vitals en route or in ED)

It was described earlier in the news as an incision that was made to help revive him or keep him alive - is this what a thoracotomy is?

Yes.  Last ditch effort in trauma.
