Might've been a bigger explosion than the bomb.

2013-04-19 10:08:38 AM
And tended to mumble "...evil marathon bomber what bombs at marathons..."

2013-04-19 10:09:17 AM
I get the feeling his brother sort of dragged him into this shiat. He wasn't your typical "stay low and use the element of surprise" type kid. Also, I'm not an expert in microexpressions but in one of the photos from the marathon, he looks like he's hiding a deep sadness.

They always are, which is why we should arrest all friendly. laid-back people.

CNN just interviewed his neighbor, basically stated he was a sweet kind kid...

2013-04-19 10:11:07 AM
He probably was radicalized by his older brother.  Too bad he brought the kid into this.  But it's too late, the kid planted the bomb.  If he gets out alive he's going to prison forever.

He's not getting out of this. Even if they get him alive, he's toast. We'll never know what they found out or what they did to him.

Sounds about right. He was only 9 when he came to the country, his brother was 16 and may have remembered more about what they left behind.

Time to arrest the teenagers, with their Twittering and Beibers and what not.

You just crossed a line. It's still a volatile situation, and making "jokes" like that might be a blast for you, but it's only a matter of time before someone blows up at you and you realize you don't have a leg to stand on.

That's interesting. You have a source?

I think we're all pretty much on the same page in thinking this kid was a normal college kid until his big brother started mucking around in his life. However, he's still a man, responsible for his actions.

i was watching the live feed on CNN earlier and they pulled out a woman in a RED COAT from the building they were cordoning off in Watertown, MA. A RED COAT PEOPLE. WAKE UP! Clearly, these Chechen thing is a decoy. The English are the ones behind it. April 19, 1775...  Lexington and Concord, never forget!

But if the King of England thinks he can conquer America, he's got another thing coming. Our senate just upheld the rights of criminals and the insane to bear arms. WOLVERINES!

Tatsuma?

Ha!   Tat, a Muslin?

This demonstrates what we all already know about people who quit drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.  They are the worst kinds of people.  Everything was fine back when they enjoyed life, but when they decide to quit doing the little things that gave them pleasure, they become holier than thou and those things become the work of Satan.

In essence a non-affiliated and home-grown weirdo decided to cause trouble.  While good that it isn't part of a larger terrorism plot, it's sad that there was a less-successful brown McVeigh running around.

The anarchistic and/or extremist mindset is baffling.  A country of over 330 million people isn't going to cower and change course because a couple freaks try to off a few innocent people.

Just some interview on CNN, I don't watch it enough to know the name of the reporter.

But the guy they were interviewing claimed to have gone to high school with the younger bomber and that he was a normal kid who smoked weed every now and then. Which I found amusing. Also, the guy didnt want to be on camera for some reason.

Joking aside, there's probably some truth to this. I think the most striking thing is where he said he had no American friends and didn't understand us.

There's irony in the fact that people who avoid fun to "keep themselves clean" end up altering their perceptions far worse than any drug could.

That's what I am thinking as well. If the younger brother was fine before big brother came along, then this kid had one of the worst older brothers ever. What type of person does this to someone that they are supposed to love and protect? To twist your own little brother to fit your own agenda is just beyond sick. This poor kid probably hero worshiped his older brother so it was easy for him to twist his brother around.

What's your point?  I was 31 in 2001.  While there have been security changes, America in its entirety has not strayed away from the "evils" of capitalism, tolerance of liberalism, overall separation of church and state, the rule of law by a secular court system, nor has it become an fundamentalism-Islam paradise of cave-dwelling, wife-stoning, dirty goat farkers.

My point is that your post was assinine. Little things like the PATRIOT act, FISA, detaining/assassinating people without due process, using torture in interrogations etc. damn well counts as "changing course". I realize these things are somehow no longer important since 2008, but they still happened.

You're cute.

Attempting to codify and legalize what has always happened isn't changing course.  America has always allowed the perception of freedom as long as things are going along smoothly.  When things happen to upset the apple cart "rights" are always put on hold.  Every President in our history has put "rights" on hold while combatting an enemy or threat.  The goal of Arab terrorism is to destroy Capitalism and hard-fought perceptions of freedom like gender equality and religious tolerance.  America hasn't altered its course on those.  The rest of the security issues the left always biatches about haven't been real pretty much forever.

I bet you think the Easter Bunny is real, too.
