Yep, you only went 1 for 2 on domestic terrorism this week with the TeaTard caught mailing in Ricin to Senators.

Except I'm not a right winger. I don't have to be a right winger to point out that Dem loyalists on this site are routinely a bunch of farking assholes with their habit of blaming their political opponents for everything that goes wrong.

And the people of Boston should care why, exactly?

/Hm...let me re read.  Nope, looks like he's more worried about the mental state of the asshole terrorist than anything else.

Not worried about it, just acknowledging it. It IS interesting, if the older brother was the leader of the pair. Now the younger, the follower, is alone without guidance from the older. His state of mind is absolutely relevant right now, and will guide his actions.

(yes this is supposition, as is farking everything else in this thread.)

/Point taken. And yes, his mind is probably farked up beyond fixing at this point.  Well, beyond a .45 caliber slug going through it.

One of the friends of the younger brother is being interviewed right now on CNN and stated that he (white hat bomber) worked as a lifeguard. From learning how to save people's lives to killing them.

The first suspect was killed after exchanging gunfire with police officers, during which multiple explosive devices were detonated, police said. Officials at Beth Israel Hospital reported they received one patient who later died, but would not confirm it was the first suspect.

That patient came in under guard and had suffered blast, shrapnel and so many gunshot wounds that caregivers were "unable to count" them.

BarkingUnicorn: DarnoKonrad: BarkingUnicorn: This is why I despise empathy.

People who plant bombs to kill others wantonly also lack the quality.

If this is political terrorism and not random craziness, I'll wager empathy plays a large role.  Just not empathy for Bostonians.

Put it this way, empathy is not sympathy.  Being able to put yourself in someone else' shoes does not mean you agree with them.  If you lack empathy you're some kind of psychopath.

With each post you make yourself look like more and more of an idiot. Cohorts? Because I post on the same huge web site? You're a complete idiot. Keep posting to underscore it.

WhyteRaven74: Fissile: Aren't Chechens some of the "good Muslims" that Murica aided and abetted in attacking the Russians?

Given the brothers haven't lived over there in ages? It may be completely immaterial as to where they're from. Indeed what they just did may have nothing to do with their place of origin, ethnicity, religion etc.

At least.  To anywhere else, I'd say we'd be sending "advisors" but I wager the Russians are well-equipped to "aggressively pursue" any leads within the Chechen border.

2013-04-19 08:29:47 AM

Fissile: Wait, I'm confused.  Aren't Chechens some of the "good Muslims" that Murica aided and abetted in attacking the Russians?  Didn't the US of Murica repeatedly condemn the Russians for dropping cluster bombs on these "good Muslims"?   It appears that these Chechens made their way here from Turkey.  Isn't Turkey a "good Muslim" country that is a solid friend to Murica, and, even more importantly, a good friend to Israel?  Wasn't Bin Laden armed by Murica when he was killing Russians?  Sure is funny how the "good Muslims" that the US encourages to attack the Russians always seem to end up turning on Murica.

Population of Turkey - 75,000,000

It is domestic.  These guys were children 10 years ago.  Whoever they are, and whatever their motives are, they grew up in American suburbia.

A law enforcement intelligence bulletin obtained by the AP identified the surviving bomb suspect as Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev (JOE-khar Tsahr-NEYE-ev), 19, of Cambridge, Mass.

Two law enforcement officials told AP that Tsarnaev and the other suspect who was not immediately identified have been living legally in the U.S. for at least one year.

They've been in America for 10 years. The youngest was 9. The case could be made that they were Americanized, or at least exposed to American ideas and ways.

2013-04-19 08:31:48 AM

dittybopper: There are only two possibilities:  Either they possessed the guns legally, and had a Massachusetts FID showing that they passed a background check, or they possessed the guns illegally.  It's as simple as that.

In other words, Massachusetts law is already much stricter that what was proposed and failed in the Senate the other day.  If anyone tries to make political hay out of it, saying that's why we need universal background checks, it's likely to backfire.

Does Massachusetts do a sanity check? I have no doubt it would not have helped in this situation, but it is a common sense approach.

/My guess would be (as to the reason for such idiocy) They were out of money, every law enforcement agency, federal agency, and redneck hunter was after their ass, and they  felt trapped and desperate for cash and transport.  They had close to 0 chance to get away, hence why they were wearing bomb vests.  They won't be captured alive, and they know it. I'm sure that in most if not all police officers minds now, you see this surviving guy, you light him up, and keep shooting until he stops twitching. They wouldn't admit that publicly of course, but I would bet all the money in my pockets against all the money in your pockets that the local and state police are loaded for bear and spoiling for a fight.
