DamnYankees: Cybernetic: DamnYankees: This kid must be scared beyond his mind right now. Not that we need to feel bad for him, but just from a sociological point of view, imagine how farked he must feel.People like him are not only willing to die for their cause, but actually WANT to die for their cause. They don't seem to fear death the way that a normal, rational person would. We have no idea what this guy is like or what his cause it. You're making shiat up to fit a pre-determined narrative.
Starryeyes: Close2TheEdge: Lockdown extended to entire city of Boston. Guess I am staying home today.Ayup.
BraveNewCheneyWorld: Remember just a few days ago when scores of you Dem loyalists insisted that this must be various right wing domestic groups? Go F*ck Yourselves.
FarkinNortherner: While the death and injury toll has been terrible, incompetent terrorists really are my favourite sort.Tomahawk513: Chechens were the primary foreign fights in Iraq and Afghanistan. There's very little evidence to support that assertion.
Igor Jakovsky: I understand one of the suspects is dead from multiple gun shot wounds and the other is still running around out there. I do hope they catch the other one alive so maybe we can find out why they did it. Chechens? Really? Seems kind of pointless to have a bombing and not even a manifesto being issued or anything. Listening to wbz on tunein and they said the whole city is under a shelter order.
DamnYankees: This kid must be scared beyond his mind right now. Not that we need to feel bad for him, but just from a sociological point of view, imagine how farked he must feel.

badhatharry: What about the pressure cookers and ball bearings? Do we need background checks to buy those too?
miss diminutive: Did I hear that right? Suspect #2 ran over suspect #1?
yukichigai: Man the scanner chatter is active but rather... unenlightening now.
mitEj: fredklein:So, now we're supposed to trust police that this time they have the right guys? All the throwing of explosives by the suspects is pretty damning.
dukeblue219: As has already been mentioned by others, plenty of Chechens fought Americans in Iraq. They've grown up around terror and it's not that hard to believe they'd have a grievance with the Great Satan. Don't get wrapped up into the big picture ("Why would Chechens attack America") when it can easily be an individual issue ("The Americans killed my brother and two cousins in Iraq").
kwame: Bit'O'Gristle: /epic facepalm to end all facepalms.Don't forget the part where you missed the whole point of what he was saying.
Just Bob: Watertown in lockdown. How comforting it must be as a Watertown resident, where a class A firearm permit is near impossible to obtain, knowing that you're hunkered down and armed with nothing north of some charming butter knives while a psycho armed terrorist is running around.
modesto: natas6.0: Some overpaid, government lackey let them into the country and never paid any attention past that.Could we hold them at least partially responsible? The douchebag running now has a scholarship. That horrible system needs to be fixed asapWe're terrible at this, but it runs both ways. I work in refugee resettlement and in the last year we've had one 80 year old Iraqi woman inadmissible because she was forced to join the Ba'ath Party when she was a high school teacher in the 70s. Another Somali girl rejected because she was kidnapped by Al Shabab and "supported" them by carrying supplies when she was 14 rather than get raped and shot. Our bureaucracy is infuriatingly inept at determining who and who is not a threat. This will only make it worse for those who are not and who see America as their only hope for a peaceful life after years of horrible suffering.
Jim_Tressel's_O-Face: GoldSpider: Obviously they went to a gun show and exploited the "gun show loophole".I'm going to enjoy reading Fark today and reading the mea culpas from people who "knew" this was a "second amendment solution."Yep, just another pair of formerly Law Abiding Gun Owners. You might want to wait a bit on that crow there.
DamnYankees: FarkinNortherner: While the death and injury toll has been terrible, incompetent terrorists really are my favourite sort. These guys seem pretty competent. They did what they intended to do.
Insertwitty Namehere: I'd say the smartest play this asshole has left is to kill himself in a way or place that makes it impossible to find and identify his body.
Kittypie070: DamnYankees: This kid must be scared beyond his mind right now. Not that we need to feel bad for him, but just from a sociological point of view, imagine how farked he must feel. And the people of Boston should care why, exactly?
Imperialism: Is the emergency broadcast in use in Boston? Like for people who wake up and don't know the city is in lockdown and get in their car? If it doesn't get used for today, would it ever?
Jim_Tressel's_O-Face: Yep, just another pair of formerly Law Abiding Gun Owners. You might want to wait a bit on that crow there.
DamnYankees: If these dudes are innocent, this is gonna be horrible.
kwame: I'm just here for the two idiots arguing over a picture of a bullet hole on Twitter.
JonnyG: Bendal: Entire city of Boston ordered inside and locked down now. Police doing house to house search, all transit, universities and businesses ordered closed. Wow.Pretty convenient and dramatic, huh. What makes them think the patsy... er bad guy.... won't go inside too? Next, they'll just nuke the city to get rid of the threat, right?
Bit'O'Gristle: /Hm...let me re read. Nope, looks like he's more worried about the mental state of the asshole terrorist than anything else.
unchellmatt: Grand_Moff_Joseph: Updated badge for your use:[lh5.googleusercontent.com image 360x350]I work for the MIT Police, so I'm getting a kick, yadda yadda and... Thanks for that. For those who are curious, the man killed was a very nice guy, and more than that, he was a Geek, and a damned good one. "We lost one of our own" takes on a double meaning for me now. This is what we're wearing.[web.mit.edu image 850x919]
Blitzer: Also wanted for questioning...[images.sodahead.com image 350x234]/Hot like foxes
DamnYankees: It's worth mentioning that this bombing makes no sense in terms of Chyechnian independence. How the fark does that cause improve due to this?Any motive right now is 100% guessing.
Bendal: You'd think that Chechnyans would have plenty of targets over in their home country and Russia instead of coming over here to blow people up.
