Gyrfalcon: When they catch these guys, they better hope it's the cops who catch them, and that some random citizen doesn't ID them first...because the cops will only beat them half to death. A vigilante squad will go 110% of the way.
Captain Dan: Ihaveanevilparrot: I'm very stout mentally. When I saw the pics of the guy I was angry and horrified, but I've seen pictures similar from war and such. However, when I saw that's how his family found out what happened, by seeing the pics online, I wanted to cry...Same here. I've seen awful photos before, mostly from wars, but I know that most people have not, and as shocking as Photo #8 was for me, it's 100x worse for someone who wasn't as previously desensitized, and 100^100x worse for someone who knew this man.
GungFu: Ok, what the heck is '#8 guy' and where can I see a list of numbered photos so I can be part of the conversation?
Bluevirage: People will ignore suspicious stuff even if you tell them to be on the lookout. This is due to one fact I have learned doing security. They do not care. They actively focus on the moment at hand instead of things around them. It takes something to shock them into paying attention, an "Awakening".
Mentat: Shyla: Well it's on CNN right now...Shiat, so much for that lead.
Bucky Katt: banandar123: So will this make Alex Jones finally stfu about this? Because I'm all for that. There are still people who pay attention to that clown?
Mike Chewbacca: GungFu: Ok, what the heck is '#8 guy' and where can I see a list of numbered photos so I can be part of the conversation? It's this photo, only not cropped. Just google "Jeff Bauman Jr" and it'll come up. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR SANITY. Carlos Arredondo is the dude in the cowboy hat. He's literally holding Jeff's femoral artery shut.
desertgeek: Hotcheese: Wow... Good on him, looks like the video evidence is piling up against "suspect 2" as well. What a P.O.S.I would, however, like to believe that if I noticed someone throw a bag down at my feet in a public place and walk away I would at least move to a new spot if not notify some sort of authority..../also a 2 1/2 min timer... if only that nitwit got stuck holding onto that bag a bit longer...Yeah, if I saw something like that, I'd at least say "hey, you dropped your bag" and when I saw the guy running for it, start clearing everything and everyone out while (possibly) trying to throw the bag at the coward.Rule of thumb: pay attention to abandoned items and randomly dropped packages.
gadian: As much as I want the bad guy's nailed, this eye witness stuff will go absolutely nowhere if the accused has a decent attorney. Eye witness testimony sucks in the most ideal circumstances. Now add explosions, loss of limbs, consciousness, and blood and add in drugs and coma.
Speaker2Animals: banandar123: So will this make Alex Jones finally stfu about this? Because I'm all for that. The only thing that will make him STFU will be him passing from this mortal coil. Then he'll be Satan's problem.
BalugaJoe: Where is the proof?
raerae1980: That is amazing. And heartbreaking. His family saw #8 the same way we did :(
