Is it really a repeat from yesterday?

According to this, Back to the Future has a single timeline, despite them making a huge point of there being multiple timelines, and this being key to the plot of the second movie.

What do you call "déjà vu" when it has already happened in the future?

/The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy skips lightly over this tangle of academic abstraction, pausing only to note that the term "Future Perfect" has been abandoned since it was discovered not to be.

Having been a student and now master of time travel since I read The Green Futures of Tycho when I was in fourth grade 15 years from now, I fail to understand how Time Cop is not on that list. Hot Tub Time machine is obviously an alternate time line issue and the Philadelphia Experiment doesn't count because it was a documentary (have YOU seen Michael Pare' since?), but there are glaring omissions on that list. Glaring. First of all, the most Fabulous Object in the World is not fiction.

LISTER: Hey, it hasn't happened, has it? It has "will have going to have happened" happened, but it hasn't actually "happened" happened yet, actually.

RIMMER: Poppycock! It will be happened; it shall be going to be happening; it will be was an event that could will have been taken place in the future. Simple as that.

So, The Time Machine 196# would be with planet of the apes, single time line, no travel to the past.

Where should the Philadelphia Experiment be?
