Bravo Two: Wasilla Hillbilly: You know, I wish ghosts and other types of supernatural entities existed. It would add depth to our existence and a chance for a form of life beyond the physical. However, morans gonna moran.

I assume two things to be true:

1. Matter (and energy) can neither be created nor destroyed, only change form.
2. Scientists agree that even if an object is destroyed, information about that object is maintained.

I believe, but cannot substantiate, that when we die, whatever makes us, us (be that an electric charge or sum of bits in particles), still lingers even if our physical presence no longer does.

However, I also personally believe that I'll keep an open mind and not discount the possibility until we can conclusively prove a negative. Hell, we can't conclusively prove the existence of dark matter and particles of gravity, but people are still hunting for them.

Yeah, no. As you live, the brain's electrical energy is turned into waste heat. When you die, that continues and only the production of new electricity stops.

Believe in an afterlife if you choose, but don't play tricks by trying to justify it with scientifical jargon that isn't true.

He must have been an EXTRA heinous businessman. Most of those type are condemned to wander the Earth for eternity covered in the chans they forged in life, link by link.

But no. His crimes were so vile that Satan went "You know what? Chains just won't do this time. I'm sending you up to spend eternity in a LEISURE SUIT!"

"A LEISURE SUIT! FOREVER!!!!"

No but digital photos can be Photoshopped.

Photoshopped?  What type of witchcraft are you talking about?  Photos cannot be altered!
What also floats in water?

A friend sent me this article today. I dismissed it as ridiculous, and it gets a green. I thought the admins were more...discriminating.

Whenever I see stories like this, I lose a little bit more faith in humanity.
5000 years of scientific thought, and Frumpy McHausfrau is still convinced that ghosts, psychic powers, and Jeebus all exist.

No doubt it's the devil.  He must enjoy a town where an 11 year old can get gang raped by 18 guys and they blame the victim.

Well he's definitely not "Stayin' Alive".
