udhq: Also, does anyone else remember those singing rat things from the quizno's commercials?  Those were definitely one of the strangest food mascots out there.

Seems kind of odd that they didn't point out that Willard Scott was the very first Ronald McDonald.  That's what makes it super-creepy.

In this film from the 70's, the gang sings Stevie Wonder's classic "Signed, Sealed, Delivered."

I see Fox News's high journalistic standards are in play even in their useless Buzzfeed-esque pop-culture slideshow endeavors.

The California Raisins debuted in 1986. Right there on their Wikipedia page.

Willard Scott as Ronald next to me back in the late 60's. I'm like "Who the f*ck is this clown?"

The California Raisins are awesome and the writer can shut his whore mouth.

That picture just isn't creepy. The fact that it's Hugh Laurie makes it funny, not creepy.

I agree that this list fails without the Burger King, and in this ad:

"In this film from the 70's..."

And I stopped right there... Seriously biatch, can't you be bothered to do the slightest amount of research? I understand it's Fox and all, but the California Raisins didn't launch until 1980-farking-6.

Seriously...

I want a job where I can party all night...

and then write down the 1st 10 random things that occur to me, call it a list and have the boss think I've done a days work.

"Whoa dude, do you like remember Frankenberry? How creepy was that!"

The only thing creepier than Burger King's Plaster headed King is their new commercial with the staff singing & dancing including a muppet of undetermined origin.

I have a strange memory from childhood where begged my mother for months to buy me the raisin holding the microphone.  She finally caved and I treasured that farking thing for years.  Never did like to eat raisins, though.

I recall seeing an article on Fark noting that in spite of their popularity as characters moving merchandise, cartoons, and record albums, they utterly failed to sell more raisins.

I agree with everyone else. List is a total fail. No King, no spongmonkeys. Jack is one of the coolest mascots ever. And nobody messes with the Macho Man!

None of those are particularly creepy. The Colonel Sanders one is basically just saying, he's old I don't want old on my food.

Frankenberry, Jack in the Box, and Chester Cheetah? No mention of the Uncanny Valley Burger King?

That's some fine journalizin' there, Lou.
