I heard about this story, but just saw the video. The video has people in blue BAA windbreakers moving boxes of stuff away from the tent. I wouldn't have even thought about looting, if it hadn't already been incorrectly labeled as such.

C'mon buddy, How can we help you connect the dots?  Did you ever hear the saying "if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it IS a duck?"  Quit defending those losers.

/I give up.

It doesn't look like looters. Looters grab and run. These people are all looking pretty casual. Like, maybe, you know, as if they weren't doing anything wrong. And there's someone who was supposedly there that says, "What you don't see in this video is right before the people who were selling this stuff came up, dropped off the boxes and said, "here take whatever you guys want". This was not theft or looting."

Dots connected. Quit defending the losers at Fox for pushing misleading bullshiat.

JohnnyRebel88: This article should be removed from FARK.com if it would like to remain a somewhat "credible resource for information".  If one allows a falsehood to spread, the outlet of information is just as guilty as the creator.

Hypothetically speaking of course, let's all just pretend that the articles of clothing were not left for citizens to take (loot), and had been left behind because the vendor left in fear for his life...  What would of happened to the clothing?  It most likely would of ended up in a  policeman, firefighter, or garbage man's closet.  Would it not?  Or maybe even the trash.

It sickens me that the media would scavenger for something to write in this day in age, such as this piece of trash.  They are all bottom feeders.

If it wasn't for the several posts above disputing and linking other articles to question the professionalism of this piece of trash article, a lie would rapidly spread.  Unfortunately, it already has been let out, and FOX should be ashamed for doing this.  So good on some of you Farkers for pointing this out to others, like myself.

I shook my head in disbelief when I first read the headline, then I saw the video..In the video, after watching it again, I see a man carry a box over and open it for people to take.  Seems odd thing to do for a looter.  They looked as if they were shopping and looking for the right size, not grabbing several at a time.

The media outlets are have become "whores" with their distortions of the truth, thus leaving the believers and followers the "john".

What I would have meant with my vendor goods was "Here, take whatever you need to use to wrap around the places where people lost their limbs and to replace their blown up clothing and to tie into tourniquets  and to do whatever you need to with them to help the injured."  Not put a box on your shoulder and whistle dixie as you walk away.

I saw one person in that video carrying a box. He was bringing it to the area, where he dropped it on the ground and then people started taking coats out of it.

I'm sure some people took several coats. But c'mon... if someone drops free stuff on the ground in front of you and says "take what you want," it's hard to fault people for actually taking what they want.

There are plenty of things going on right now to be outraged about. Other than the way Fox handled this particular story, what's going on in this video is not one of them.

X-Large.  I needed to use the sleeve for my Hamm.

Liberal Bostonians acting like liberals. Nothing surprising at all here.

Would be great if someone started a web page with close up photos to start outting these looters.

I still find the runaway consumerism to be a tad tasteless in the wake of such events.

"Oh wow, possibly hundreds injured a couple blocks away in fiery explo - oh shiat, free t-shirts!!!"
