/sadder still was to watch the mouth-breathing white-trash buy them...

I know im a schmuck, but i would have definitely taken one to have the historic memorabilia.  I also would of made every attempt to contact the vendor after the fact and pay for the item.  Don't take that the wrong way tho, because I'm still an asshole.

People trying to sell items related to the tragedy may have a difficult time.
According to Yahoo News, the online auction site eBay told them, "We are deeply saddened by the Boston tragedy and our thoughts and prayers go out to those affected. Out of respect for victims, eBay does not allow listings that graphically portray, glorify or attempt to profit from human tragedy or suffering."

I suppose that, opposed to just giving them away, the reasonable Fox-friendly capitalistic thing would have been for the vendors to triple the price after the blasts.

Since many of the people grabbing jackets appear to be runners wearing those space blankets, isn't it likely that they're just grabbing "their" jacket that they get for finishing the race? And might not the others be grabbing them for friends or relatives who are running, but, due to the bombing, won't be able to get their rewards?

What would you say about people that assume someone is looting based on a fox news assertion (especially a fox news article using weasel words like "appears to show"), and no real evidence or knowledge of what was going on?

Thanks for some additional links, but I noticed most of the sources in the links about the video come from reddit and youtube comments.  Fark user LoneDoggie has offered that Lootie has relocated to Boston and has possibly opened a looting studio where people can learn proper looting techniques, which may not be credible but is plausible.

Did you read the Fox headline?
Online video appears to show spectators taking Boston Marathon gear after explosionsNot quite compelling enough for Fox to catch a clue, apparently. Which seems to be the point xria was making, both about Fox and those who believed the accusation immediately (and probably didn't watch the video, either).

Heading up MSR Tampa on the way to Baghdad. Came up on a semi truck full of Coke that had overturned. Well apparenty "On it's side" means "Open the doors and take whatever you can carry" in Arabic. The locals had all parked on the side of the road and were scurrying back and forth with arm fulls of coke cases like a line of ants. And they were not stopping for a line of HMMWVs because, by dammit, there was coke to be had. We were told 'don't farking stop for anything' and my A-driver is shouting "Keep going! Keep going!" I slowed up and layed on the horn, but those damn Hajis were not gonna get out of the farking way. I ended up having to bump a couple of them with the brush guard. Luckily one got close enough for me to reach out and grab a coke from (didn't have armor on my vehicle). Unfortunately, the coke was hot.

/Meanwhile the truck driver was standing there with his hands in his pockets like "What am I supposed to do? The truck is on it's side. So by law, these people have a right to whatever's inside.
//These were American cans too. No Arabic writing on them, Probably ment for PXs.

This article should be removed from FARK.com if it would like to remain a somewhat "credible resource for information".  If one allows a falsehood to spread, the outlet of information is just as guilty as the creator.

Hypothetically speaking of course, let's all just pretend that the articles of clothing were not left for citizens to take (loot), and had been left behind because the vendor left in fear for his life...  What would of happened to the clothing?  It most likely would of ended up in a  policeman, firefighter, or garbage man's closet.  Would it not?  Or maybe even the trash.

It sickens me that the media would scavenger for something to write in this day in age, such as this piece of trash.  They are all bottom feeders.

If it wasn't for the several posts above disputing and linking other articles to question the professionalism of this piece of trash article, a lie would rapidly spread.  Unfortunately, it already has been let out, and FOX should be ashamed for doing this.  So good on some of you Farkers for pointing this out to others, like myself.

I shook my head in disbelief when I first read the headline, then I saw the video..In the video, after watching it again, I see a man carry a box over and open it for people to take.  Seems odd thing to do for a looter.  They looked as if they were shopping and looking for the right size, not grabbing several at a time.

The media outlets are have become "whores" with their distortions of the truth, thus leaving the believers and followers the "john".
