No price can accurately measure Jay Cutler's delicious tears of sorrow.

What, so he can run upfield and leave gaping holes for QBs and RBs to run through? I know his position is to get the QB, but when he routinely blows containment (except against Minnesota in the playoffs) he takes himself out of the play.

Matthews' job was/is to blow up plays, per Capers' scheme.  Known risks but expected, high returns.  Given a particular level of talent.

In other words... letting Cullen Jenkins go was really dumb.

And yet he's probably still looking for Colin Kaepernick.

Overpayed.

Don't think that's a word.

//Packers overpaid for him IMHO

That's a lot of cheese.

He needs the money for shampoo and conditioner.

And yet I had Packers' friends who were angry that Aaron Rogers wasn't somehow playing offense faster and defense better. I just stared as them in disbelief. The same stare I had whenever Colin blew past Clay, play after play.

Nonsense. He's saved plenty with his Discount Double-Check.

So is that more or less than that fark head Snyder paid a couple years ago for that reject far fsck?
/you know who I mean

It's an NFL contract.  He'll play 3 years of it, then renegotiate to get more guaranteed money at the back end, or he'll get cut.  Like what just happened to James Harrison.  Like what just happened to Elvis Dumerville.

Irony: next story down, an article lamenting the obliviousness to Lance Armstrong's obvious doping.

Wow, so subs knows in advance how many plays he'll be on for the length of the contract?

I guess he won't be injured, will he?

So he'll make even MORE money per play then.

13 million a year. Thats a lot of cash. However- one bad play and he gets hurt- boom! He gets jack.
Save your money, bra . One never knows what will happen in the world of non-guaranteed contracts.

/go Packers

Matthews is one of the biggest douchebags in the league. Along with Jared Allen.

They look like they hang out together drinking Natty Light and listening to Nickelback.

I can still hear Joe Buck...

*snap*

"colin kaepernick......."

*fake handoff inside, he runs bootleg outside*

"........fools every BODY."

"COLIN KAEPERNICK!!!  TOUCHDOWN 49ERS!!!"

/although it was on the opposite side to Matthews, but the same result.

//Joe Montana said it best,  "if I was the defensive coordinator I would force the QB to run EVERY TIME and punish him for it."  As soon as a few of these QB's go down the run/pass option will fade away, like the run and shoot"

Fantastic, now he can afford to buy a shirt and get a hair cut.

IIRC that was Erik Walden. The 49ers ran mostly to Walden's side, and Walden turned in one of the worst performances of all time. OF ALL TIME.

/enjoy, Colts

yep....almost all of his big plays went right.  not that it mattered.  The Packers' game plan was all wrong.  Lawrence Taylor wouldn't have made a difference...

LOL....Kaepernick takes a helmet to the knee and the niners' window w i ll be shattered.  Once D coordinators figure out that gimmicky offense, Kaepernick will he forced to beat teams with his arm.  And he has a delivery akin to a shot putter.  Am I the only person who has noticed that?

Subby probably took the average number of plays that Matthews played per season already and extrapolated that for this contract extension.

People without sticks in their butt understand that this is merely a speculation on future number of plays per season and may not actually work out that way.
