Scott Steiner VS Booker T

I'm not sure if you could call this turning real but the one match I'll always remember was when Booker T knocked out Steiner tooth right in the middle of the match. Steiner comes off the ropes and Booker T does some flying kick right to Steiner mouth. Steiner goes down hard and you see this little white thing go bouncing off the mat. The lady with Steiner catches the tooth on the third bounce. Really impressed with the cat like reflexes. And I think it was Stacy Keibler.

Right after that Steiner rolls off the mat and starts heading to the locker room. Starts pointing back at Booker like he is warning him but Steiner doesn't open his mouth.

I know it wasn't staged that way 'cause Booker (who didn't see the tooth fly out) and the Ref were just standing there not knowing what to do next. The Ref ends up counting Steiner out and Booker wins. Booker wins until he gets back stage that is....

Just because it's scripted doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

mmmm Stacy Keibler

Did luger have any moves besides a clothesarm and the torture rack (which always looked to me like it would make my back feel better)

He was the most talentless lunk

Steiner was a decorated amatur wrestler from Michigan and as MMA has taught everyone, a wrestler beats a boxer 9 times out of 10.

He had a match v. Barry Windham for the US Title in which he did show a different repertoire of moves so...

Oh yeah.  Not only would he "blow up" if the match went longer than 20 mins., but his "moveset" was worse than Hogan's.

Except he never did.  To the best of my knowledge Warrior scoop slammed Andre once during their brief fued.  IIRC that was the match where Andre stuck his boot into Warriors gut when he went for his splash.

While I understand that, the gorilla press with the neon streamers still is one of the most recognizable signature moves in play wrestling history.  And he did his share of pressing big dudes

I think I saw one real wrestling match. In the early 70s in Kansas City, Harley Race and Rufus R. Jones were both bleeding and the match just didn't seem to follow any script. All of a sudden, 2 KC Kansas policemen who worked security rushed the ring and actually handcuffed both and led them out of the ring. I had never before and have not since seen real cops stop a wrestling match.

Yep.

Must have been CM Punk. I mean, the fact that the three main events were so predictable you could see the results as far back as Summerslam, if not the day after Wrestlemania 28, well, that had nothing to do with it.

/Zack Ryder was also to blame somehow, too.

Supposedly there was a match between The Nasty Boys and Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Hall wasn't pulling his punches enough to the point that The Nasty Boys had enough of it and pretty much beat the tar out of Hall to teach him a lesson.

It wasn't Hall not pulling punches. He hit Jerry Scaggs with a chair when Scaggs wasn't ready, and a chair wasn't even discussed pre-match. Hall claims it was all a misunderstanding, and because it was the very very early days of the nWo, Eric Bischoff offered to fire the Basty Boys, which Hall talked him out of it.

The funniest part of that Ultimate Warrior DVD was HHH discussing that match with the WWE belt in full view for everyone to see.  Hey Gagne, you were a mid-carder who got booked into a squash match and everybody knows it.

Thanks for clearing that up. From what I heard, the Nasty Boys had quite the reputation as legit tough guys.

2013-04-17 09:22:45 PM
About the Nasty Boys... Ric Flair mentioned that when he saw them for the first time, he was convinced they were trouble waiting to happen. Once he saw how they always took their characters into real life, Flair thought they would hurt someone in an argument pretty badly. At that point, Arn Anderson got in on the conversation and said, "Not entirely true. Knobs is a jellyfish if you stand up to him. Sags on the other hand, he's legitimately tough." Personally, I would have loved to seen them wrestle some of the ECW tag teams, like the Dudleys, the Gangstas or Public Enemy (when they were starting in ECW). New Jack of the Gangstas probably would have sent them home bleeding and terrified.

I miss the wrestling period between 1996 and 1998. Nowadays, it's still fun to watch but everything feels like a rehash. Even TNA (which is my preferred show these days) has gone to the NWO well with Aces & Eights. I think WWE has been declining since they ate WCW and ECW. No competition makes one weaker.

It's Warner Brothers.

There are the people who can't make a good DC Comic character movie unless the character has bat ears. The company is seemingly full of idiots.

Ah yes, the original Oklahoma City Massacre! Mack "The Knife" Butcher went on a rampage and not only took out his opponent, Sooner Sandy Sux, but hacked his way through most of the audience as well before making his escape to your mom's house where he attempted legitimate rape before falling into her massive vagina never to be seen again. Authorities considered it a mercy killing and boarded up said lady parts for safety purposes.
It's said on a quiet night you can still hear him scream as he continues falling into the endless abyss.

/you're welcome
