FTA: Mike McLelland, 63, and 65-year-old wife Cynthia were found repeatedly shot to death in their home

How can somebody be shot to death "repeatedly"? Isn't that pretty much a one-time thing?

And it all started over three stolen monitors.

Really?  A disbarred Justice of the Peace?  THIS is how wound up you get about not being able to be a JoP?

During Eric Willilams' trial, McLelland and Hasse portrayed him as a thief and a man with a violent streak. They pushes for him to be sent to prison. He was given probation, but the case is on appeal.

Well, first you need to find a skilled ER doctor who isn't big on asking questions...

You can be repeatedly shot.
You can be repeatedly shot to death.

I think the point conveyed was the multiple gunshot wounds and the fact that the victim died, but if you want to go on a tirade about grammar there were better examples in the article.

Gotta admit, I did not see this one coming.

But then, I don't watch Matlock.

If I'm not mistaken everyone has been claiming these were actual hits due to prosecution of Aryan Nation members (or whatever those asshats are called these days), it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

2013-04-17 09:41:37 AM
Wasn't this supposed to be tied to some white-supremacist nutjob who died in a shootout in Colorado?

You will write english good or you will receive the snark!

How about they apologize for blaming the white supremacists?
They may be assholes, but they have feelings too.

No shiat, I was expecting drugs, prison gangs, angry divorcees anything but some dumbass who got caught stealing office equipment.

I thought I read that the gun used to kill the couple (or maybe it was the first guy) was also used in the shooting of the guy in Colorado.

To be fair, when you're considering suspects for a murder, a farking disgruntled Justice of the Peace doesn't usually show up on the list.

You can be repeatedly shot to death.
You can't be shot to death repeatedly.
TFA has it right.

Lets all point and laugh at the smoking crater that used to be Jay Hileman's career.  You know, the DA Prosecutor who withdrew from the Aryan Brotherhood case because he didnt want to get murdered like the victims from the article?

/At least, that is my hope

Obviously they should have written, "They killed him to death" or " They killed him until he was dead." or "they felt he needed killin' so they killeded him"

No, no.  It's, "He done got kilt."

2013-04-17 09:48:27 AM
The police were investigating a possible connection due to (I think) some of the cases the victims had been involved in prosecuting.  The guy who died in a shootout actually died in Texas (in a different county), while he was on the run after murdering the Colorado corrections guy and a pizza deliveryman.  He also had connections to the same hate groups.  The part about the same bullets being found involved the site of the shootout in Texas and the sites of the Colorado murders.

So it wasn't an Aryan Brotherhood hitman trying to shake the legal system? It was a crazy former JoP?

Cybernetic: Wasn't this supposed to be tied to some white-supremacist nutjob who died in a shootout in Colorado?

The possibility has been investigated but to my knowledge no evidence has been found linking the two.

And for the non-Texans here who are wondering how being thrown out as a JP can get someone so wound up, well, you've never appeared before a Texas JP. The tough-guy complex of a lot of these people is off the charts.

It's nice to see a woman make her mark in an area traditionally dominated by men.

2013-04-17 09:53:03 AM
Sounds to me like the victims put out a political hit on the JP, trying to sentence him to prison over taking home office equipment (something I could easily see being a misunderstanding, although I am not familiar with the case). I wonder if they ever laughed to each other, "what's he going to do about it?" as they plotted his destruction.

Well, gang, looks like there was something to be done about it after all!

It's Texas, so all of those are acceptable.

The defense will be "He needed killin'." That's valid in Texas.

However, if either defendant is retarded, that's a sure-fire death sentence.

They needed promotions to search a storage facility?

Just what does a Justice of the Peas do in Texas?  I thought they only married people but maybe that's because I watched too much 1960's TV.

I'm kind of relieved it isn't Aryan freaks. With everything that's been going on lately it was starting make me a little concerned that some kind of neo nazi uprising was bubbling up to the surface.

Now find the Boston assholes.

They were found repeatedly.

Every cop that walked through the door tried to take credit; "Hey! Look what I found!"
