I'm a resident of Boston. I don't expect Barack Obama or Deval Patrick to keep me safe from some random nutter anymore than I expect the green line to run on time.

I've chosen to live my life in this way, in this place, and I- and hundreds of thousands of other Massholes- will not change our way of life because of this nutter.

I'm done being sad. I'm done being scared. This asshole set off a bomb near the Boston Public Library. Now I'm farking furious.

Patrick Dollard @PatDollardGEORGE BUSH KEPT US SAFE FOR 8 YEARS AND ONCE AGAINBARACKOBAMA FAILS AS TERRORISTS BOMB BOSTON MARATHON

And yet he couldn't keep us safe from 9/11 in the first place, even when he had the intelligence to do so.

I have always found this line of thinking supremely perverse.

I find the whole thing upsetting. This is a special day- a celebration of the Revolutionary War, a random holiday that only we have, the Marathon, a 11am Red Sox game (played early enough in the season that we all still have some hope), and a street party. This is when spring starts in Boston.

This Marathon isn't just Kenyens and crazy hardcore runners, it's regular people who spend a year preparing for this for a charity- a friend of mine is 6"5; and 250lbs and a few years ago he finished, because he was running for a cause.

The finish line is right outside the oldest public library in the country for a reason.  "The Commonwealth Requires the Education of the People as the Safeguard of Order and Liberty".

No, you're thinking of the blaming of B. HUSSEIN 0bama for the bombing. It took a bit longer than that for someone to say that Bush kept us safe from terrorism for 8 years.

/9/11 was Clinton's fault, so it doesn't count against Bush. Also, we have always been at war with Eastasia

Sadly, it doesn't matter.  You can beat them over the head with that list.  You can carve every item on that list into their skin.  They will always forget because it's politically convenient for them to do so.

Why people still consider these willfully ignorant morons worthy of anyone's time says a hell of a lot about the current intellectual state of America as a whole.

because some places tend to have more children near them, esp during the day.
because some places have the veneer of being "safer". the grocery store, the safe neighborhood that you live in, church.

if you get mugged in a dark alley, in a gang infested area, late at night, walking alone, drunk; well no one is surprised. but when a bomb goes off in church on sunday, during sunday school; people think that this is the safest place on earth.

this is why terrorism is effective, it removes "safe" our regular lives.

We're lucky it wasn't an Iranian drone. If they followed our POTUS's standard operating procedure, the first responders on scene would have been "double tapped."

Disgusting? Why yes, it most certainly is.

Now, I am sure, the true culprit for 911 and the Boston Bomb will come forward to take responsibility:

THE IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION SERVICE.

The I.N.S. actually stands for Institute of NATIONAL SUICIDE, as we see today.

/I'm sorry

I can't wait until Fartbongo's National Security Advisor goes before Congress and testifies about why they ignored that presidential daily briefing memo from about a month ago that was entitled "[NAME OF PERSON RESPONSIBLE] DETERMINED TO ATTACK BOSTON MARATHON CROWD BY PLACING HOME MADE BOMBS AT FINISH LINE."  Of course, he's not as attractive as Condoleeza Rice, so it probably won't get any coverage on the liberal media when he does.

Well, considering that he was on vacation half that time prior to 9/11, you could say that he only worked about 3 months until the bombing, so it's effectively Clinton's fault.
