/Wait wait, Don't tell me syria isn't actually behind this
//well isn't this american life worth it

Why?  Every unusual 3 word phrase isn't necessarily a good band name.

Really?

I mean I know you guys like don't like get American media in a steady stream over here, but the harsh reality is that much of the media here has forgotten you guys and placed you as a passing. "Ohhh yep more Syrians died today, whats the weather like Bob?" While on the other hand NPR has been one of the few with continuing coverage of your struggle there.

Biting the hand that feeds I guess

It makes a lot more sense if you, like, read the article. Then you find out that the SEA supports the Assad regime. Yes, there are still people there that are fully supportive of slaughtering their fellow countrymen.

Ah, the data web.  An opportunity to endlessly piss on each other's rosebushes, secure in our belief that our "No, YOU!" is righteous and necessary.  It's like giving magic markers to 5 year olds.

You've read the headline.  Do you:

FTA - "We will not say why we attacked@NPR ... They know the reason and that enough #SEA #Syria."

Must have something to do with yet another teacher unable to control herself. Or Marmite.

Well, if all you've got to work with is an internet connection and a sense of inferiority, you've got to do what you can.

Any script kiddie with google can hack a twitter account.  What was the point?  To show off that the Syrian regime still has internet access?

Yes, but the Syrian Electronic Army is one of the Syrian military's front groups. Any reporting on Syria is bad for them. They would appreciate the rest of the media's coverage. NPR is just what they don't want.

I... really don't understand what the pro-assad SEA thought they were going to accomplish here.

Did they think it was/will make NPR back down? "Oh nooooo! Some backwater atrocity-supporting assholes hacked our webpage and twitter accounts! WE'D BETTER STOP REPORTING ON THE SYRIAN ATROCITIES!"

Seriously, WTF?

To be fair, NPR is perpetuating a one-sided pro-Israel narrative making Assad look like a bad guy and the rebels as respectable "freedom fighters".  The truth is this entire thing is a coup because Israel is paranoid as fark about Iran and Syria, and we're secretly arming/training Muslim terrorists to brutally overthrow Syria Gadaffi style, including using chemical weapons, massacring children, etc.  Then Syria gets blamed for trying to fight these terrorists and making the war zone the rebels started worse.
