Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) was used to scan the wrist plate of players to accurately ascertain their true age.

Strange, I would have thought that the wrists of teenage boys would be over-developed from...well...you know...

Not sure what you mean. Please explain further, citing equivalent experiences from your own life.

An MRI scan? Is this like a high tech way of cutting them in half and counting the rings?

Yeah, really... I've never heard of this, and I can't believe there isn't variation in whatever metric they are looking at. This reeks of witch-doctor tradition.

hasnt it been well documented that African nations have cheated the under-something tournaments for quite a while? Thats why they always do so well in those, but do nothing in the World Cup since they dont have an age and development advantage anymore

It sounds like they're looking at the growth plate, to see if it has stopped developing. The scan wouldn't be accurate to month and day. If it shows the athletes are over age, it's probably by several years.

A draw does neither team any good, I want to see some risk taking and goal scoring!

Every time I watch Everton I can't help wondering how they've managed to keep ahold of Fellini. Not that Everton isn't a great club, but there are tons of bigger, richer clubs that i think would greatly improve with him in their midfield

Well, after a 0-0 draw and an infinitesimal chance of Champions League next season, he's as good as gone. He's probably packing his apartment right now.
