Brick-House: Has the WH blamed Bush yet?

Nah, even black folks are done blaming Bush. I'm sure Obama has pissed off enough folks with the drones by now to own this shiat.

Lt. Cheese Weasel: "We still do not know who did this or why ... but make no mistake: We will get to the bottom of (this). We will find out who did this. We will find out why they did this. ... Any responsible groups will feel the full weight of justice."

"The American people will say a prayer for Boston tonight, and Michelle and I send out deepest thoughts and prayers to the victims."

It's telling he used the word 'groups'.  Just observation.

It's saying he's not eliminating any possibilities. I'm not a huge Obama fan, but his speech was spot-on.

He also used the word "any." That's telling too. "Any" means there might not be a group. If he was sure there was a group, he would have said "The," not "Any."

zippolight2002: jack21221: TV's Vinnie: Suspect in guarded custody is a Saudi national.

Apparently, it was a guy that a civilian just chased down and tackled for acting suspicious. Sounds like an overzealous "patriot" to me.

He was "acting suspiciously and running from the explosion"....  it would be more suspicious if he WASN'T running for farks sake.

Real Americans slowly walk away from the explosion while putting on a pair of sunglasses and not looking back.

ColdFusion: justtray: No way only two dead. Go watch the video of the first explosion. At least a half dozen people are within the kill zone of that blast alone. Likely more.

And you know what they say about unconfirmed reports, like stereotypes, they're often correct.

NBC confirmed a suspect is under guard. Police report swollen eyes, broken leg, baton bruises likely do to proximity of the blast.

1)  Two died already, but some of those transported may not make it.  So, that may not be the end of it just yet.
2)  NBC's "confirmation" was refuted by the Boston PD Commissioner. "Those reports are not true, there is no suspect in custody.":   http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/boston-police-commissione r -there-is-no-suspect-in

Why would you quote everything except for the important statement I made?

"THOSE TWO STATEMENTS ARE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE"

Mandatory death for all terrorists, foreign AND domestic.

If we would execute all domestic terrorists (i.e., those on the US government payroll) there would be no foreign terrorists. At least, none who would be threatening us. Blowback is a baitch. Our politicians have been playing Russian Roulette with our lives ever since our involvement in WW1, and they don't care how many people, American or otherwise, are ruined. This, like 9/11, is a direct and inevitable result of our foreign policy.

Fairly true, actually.
Right around 1913 was when the globalist game of Risk began, with unintended consequences impacting us even now. See also: Federal Reserve system created; possibly just in time to finance the most murderous century in human history. For someone who needs not work for his or her food, that connection would make a great dissertation or thesis.

This is perhaps the stupidest statement ever in the history of everything.

Notice how he said the word "any".  "A-ny".  With the emphasis slightly more on one part of the word than the other syllable.  VERY TELLING

Wouldn't it be a biatch to just get done running 26 miles, and have to keep running when the bomb explodes? "Farking hell, I thought I was done running!"

Don't worry, the Marathoners (or whatever the conspiracy theory crowd is called from this) will use that photo as evidence that it was faked by Hollywood and "crisis actors".

I'm wondering if their theory will be that it wasn't a bomb, but actually a plane, just to flip thing around.

There's one angle of the first explosion that shows a runner staggering (in a somewhat flail-tastic way) and dropping to the ground.

Try not to quote this, as the NY post will probably repeat it as truth, but here are some things to think about:  When has an international terror organization like AQ ever done a terror attack and gone small?  In the grand scheme of things, this is a pretty small terrorist attack.  Second, when has an international terror organization ever let this much time after an attack pass before claiming credit?  This is more than likely a domestic terrorist, pissed that he had to pay taxes, and wanted to take his petty frustrations out on a large number of innocent people and become infamous at the same time...

Some people are idiots. This is nothing like the IRA bombs sh*t.

Well they are out of practice.

/really doubt it's the IRA

Me too.  If it's at all IRA related, they're down to their C team.  This is bad, but not apocalyptic or anything.

A lot of support for the IRA came from the USA back in the bad old days.  I doubt they'd bomb anyone inside the US unless it was an assassination of someone they really REALLY wanted dead.

The IRA usually called in warnings so no one would be killed, unless some kind of miscommunication occurred such as happened in Omagh.

Um...no.  Just...no.  First thing off wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyde_Park_and_Regent%27s_Park_bombings

I should've been more clear.  The IRA generally stayed clear of killing innocent civilians.  Military targets were fair game.

Again, NO.  You're cruising for an ignoring...today is NOT the day for this kind of apologist crap, frankly.

621 people disagree with you.

shower_in_my_socks: shower_in_my_socks: BPD just reported a minute ago that "There is no suspect in custody." That's according to a post on the Boston Globe's live blog.

...but then two minutes later there's a post saying that federal officials say the BPD is guarding a possible suspect. I guess "guarding a possible suspect" and "having a suspect in custody" aren't the same thing.

I"m watching the local news right now & they are reporting the NY Post crap as if it was the current news. That would make the local news about three hours behind the rest of us. The "Saudi national" can be considered to be a no-go at this point, but any local feeds are reporting it as if their interns have just now logged in.

AQ is smart.  If it does not serve their purpose to announce responsibility, then they will not do so if the ensuing confusion adds to the 'terror'.

Anyone confused needs to read this:  You won't sleep well tonight. SPOILER ALERT.
