When your offseason workouts are mostly notable for the guys who everyone knows will not be playing for your team next season... your team is probably not very good.

Yankees and Mets are both second in their divisions despite gloom and doom predictions for both (yeah, season just started).
Knicks just clinched 2nd seed.
Rangers and Isles both fighting to hold onto playoff spots.

He works so hard.  He's such a hard worker.  He's not like the other 99% of players in league who don't work hard and are always arrested and listen to the rap music that goes "boogie woogie baby wanna stick it in ya!"

Not sarcasm. As you said, the baseball season just started, Knicks can only provide so many articles, and ESPN doesn't report on hockey

I bet he is especially proud of his "playoff win" trophy. When do they give those out?

Maybe they'll give them out for all the sports at the same time. That way Iowa State can get one for their "playoff win" last month.

Since losing in the next round makes you so awesome. Right?

Is it possible to be labled a "hater" when you call a terrible player terrible? I mean really. It's just called "honesty"

Yeah, I mean who can blame him for filming a commercial for an anti-abortion group during the Super Bowl. He didn't want any attention at all! He's just a blue-collar lunch-pail guy.

You want to see a cream worthy story? Sanchez has been mentioned in the Revis trade. Tampa has the cap space and wants someone to push Josh Freeman. As such there have been rumblings about Revis and Sanchez both going to Tampa for multiple draft picks. Imagine the Tebow talk then.

"Focus on the Family" is not benign. It's malignant.

And note the GQ pick I posted - posing like Christ on the cross is just piety, I guess.

Just like routinely ignoring Matthew 6:5 to conspicuously pray in front of millions of people at every opportunity.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/04/09/jamarcus-russell -n fl-comeback-scenario/2069203/

A leaner, focused and 281-pound JaMarcus Russell dispelled the misconception lurking out there that he canceled a Wednesday pro day for teams interested in his comeback bid.

The plan all along has been to make a personal visit to teams such as the Chicago Bears, Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets and anyone else wanting a close-up look when the 2009 No. 1 overall pick dropped well below the 315 pounds he weighed two months ago.

Look, he's a fine, upstanding, devout young man and all, but he's not too keen on reading. Why did you think a college athlete from Florida would be different from any of the others?

Revis of course.  Having a guy like that to practice against is invaluable to a quarterback.

Wow.  I'm Canadian so I don't see much ESPN.  I always thought that Tebow worship existed, but not to the extent of this Skip guy.

I also feel that every broadcaster who suggests that Tebow is bound for the CFL has no idea what kind of game the CFL plays.  Yes, a mobile QB is a very valuable thing... but the CFL is a passing league.  Passing... you know... the thing Tebow is terrible at.

Really, you're trying to say that a guy who films an ad for the most-watched single event in the world is not "the one to blame for the attention he gets from the media"?

Yeah, running around Jets camp with his shirt off in front of ESPN cameras just smacks of introvertism.
