FARK rebel soldier: Strangely, while the fantasy scenario of the dead rising from the grave, zombies, has huge traction in popular culture, the entirely possible scenario of robots turning on their masters is comparatively unexplored.

What the fark kind of stupid do you suffer from?

Yeah I came here to say that. Someone has lived a very sheltered life.

As an AI expert I say no worries. If their research is based on the human brain for reals then it is less likely to become artificial intelligence, more likely artificial stupidity.

Cumberlander: Fair criticisms. I have understated the constant presence of killer robots in sci-fi...although, in fairness, the paragraph being used to emphasize my ignorance actually starts with the sentence: "Killer robots have been the stuff of sci-fi since the genre appeared."

Well shiat, you're not supposed to be aware of the internet. We had you all made of straw and set up trying to burn you down until you came in here.

And yeah on second reading that's more a "degree" paragraph than an "absolute statement" paragraph.
