They should audit all of the politicians in DC every year.
Prolly solve our deficit problem.

Won't solve anything - they've already made themselves immune to the laws they write.

The more liberal the city/person, the more tax cheating you will see.

WHen former Tax cheat and Wall Street crook, Tim Geithner, is selected by the President to be Treasury Secretary, you know the country is doomed. That is 1984 mixed with the Onion but in real life.  We are farked.  We will be a larger version of Greece in 20 years.

I wish they'd raise taxes on everyone making more than me and lower them for me personally (and if that lowers them for someone else, that is super).

Does this include every corporation that avoids paying taxes?

I had to hit my roomie over the head to get his in, then he got caught up in the turbotax break down last night. I was laughing at his misery for at least an hour.

That's why Houston and Atlanta are in the top 5, I'm sure.

Why do you care about your roommate's tax return?

Are your roommates developmentally disabled? If not, leave them alone.

If you need them to get their return so they have cash for rent and utilities, then perhaps you should get a better roommate.

Translated to reality:
The higher the population, especially if that population earns above-average wages (like city-folks tend to), the more tax cheating you will see.

// and even more especially when you have so many Schedule C filings like those cities tend to have
// filed a SkedC the last 2 years - almost as much fun as a needle through the scrotum

Hmm, so Democrats cheat on their taxes the most? While I'm busy showing off my shocked face, make sure to get them all jobs in Obama's cabinet.

Has Buffet paid the $1B in taxes his companies have owed for the last 10 years yet?

// is Berkshire-Hathaway allowed to defer paying their taxes? Yes?

Atlanta
No wonder.  That metropolitan area is home to farktons of stolen companies (yes, Virginia, stolen) courtesy of Georgia's "Economic Development" department.

/Georgia doesn't innovate, it just steals from the North and elsewhere

[derp]

Don't forget the tax cheats that think it's OK to use complex accounting to do the same thing.

Probably the best thing I can say about leaving the US to work overseas is not having to deal with US taxes.  Granted, EU taxes are significantly higher for people earning a 'moderate' wage (say 55k USD or more) but the process is so painless.
