Pretty sure it would  have to be an accident if they hit a target with a missile-delivered warhead and it exploded.  I don't think they're capable of doing it on purpose.  Of course, that could be the Great Satan's propaganda hiding their capabilities from the world.

I think it's entirely possible we've underestimated their abilities. Hell we only just admitted last week that they've managed to miniaturized a nuke, it's possible they have some working Russian IRBM and MRBMs left over from the 80s

I bet that fake missile the South Korean protesters mocked up could fly farther than the real one the North Koreans have on their lanching pad!

after they died.

any know if theres any truth to that or if its just made up?

My guess will be a missile test to try and troll us into shooting it down.  Kim Il Sung will see this as a strike on a otherwise peaceful demonstration and he will use that to stage an attack.

Kim Il Sung - the ultimate troll.

No we must wait for NK to provide real NKan coffee as a gift. While we wait in our roofless shack.

I would think any missile launch would be downed after threats of nuclear war and preemptive nuclear war.

It only takes one to have a bad day.

Down everything launched from NK.

2:13 is a pretty good finish time. I wonder why someone would choose to run the Best Korea Marathon rather than Boston if there's the threat of the finish line being a crater before the race is over?

Am I the only one who is enraged by the usage of the stupid nonsensical term "war mongler"?

Guess so...  *shuffles out of thread*

Is the US sitting in the wings with some new technology that they forgot to tell us about to shoot the damned thing down?   I could see them firing this something like this, then telling us that North Korea's missile blew up on the launch pad.

I think we're gonna miss out on this one. NK has pissed pretty much the entire planet off here, even Castro told them to STFU and go back to sleep. If they pull anything, we're going to be standing at the back of a very long line. I don't see this eending well for NK in any way, and possibly some broken fences across the world may be mended over this. This is where the problem with Communism comes in, it's a tough balancing act, and they start lying to the people, and then it gets bigger and bigger and bigger. Pretty soon, you have the equivalent of carrying a 200 lb. lead weight across the room, being able to use only wet paper towels, and when people start to notice that the paper towels are ripping, they start to disappear.

NK doesn't have the capability to do more than piss off the planet(And kill a lot of innocent people). I don't see WWIII coming out of this, I seethe entire neighborhood ganging up to beat the ever-lovin' snot out of one bully, and his few supporters fading further into the shadows, rather than get the same smackdown.

I dunno about that, but I would imagine that they get pretty minimal telemetry from their missiles, having no  ground stations outside of NK or satellite network and all, so if a missile did just blow up they probably won't have any idea why.

To be perfectly fair here, DPRK is NOT communist. If I had to sum up their government in one word, I believe despotism is far more fitting. I'm not defending or condemning communism here, just saying that a cow is not a horse.

I have a hunch if we evaporated their missile one hundred feet off of the launch pad, we would whisper it in their ear.  This new spoiled brat is doing everything that he can to hold on to his power. This saber rattling is just a diversion to rally the people towards  Kim Jong Un, rather than against him.   The second that the people found out that he couldn't protect them from the evil US with his magical missiles, there would be a civil war.

Isn't Communism their stated government? I thought it was... I guess you're right, he is a little tinpot dictator.

Either way, it's still a major flaw in Communism overall, when things start to go South, they start with little lies, and the lie just gets bigger that everything is peachy, rather than admit issues and correct course...
