CBS is doing pretty good.

CBS finally got their shiat together when it comes to good TV shows. Sherlock and Person of Interest are these two that come to mind.

And even the non-CBS branded holdings are doing spectacular. Homeland and Dexter really put Showtime over the top.

I wonder how many free bjs you get for giving a woman her own TV show. I guess we could ask Ted Harbert since his apparently ran out.

The story goes that there was gonna be another gameshow offering to pair up with LMAD in the afternoons. A revival of Pyramid. A pilot was made with Andy Richter as the host. Moonves couldn't resist those sweet bjs and was being threatened that the supply would run out if the wifey wouldn't get her precious widdle afternoon show. And so it goes.

Wow, it appears there is a "The Talk" co-host trifecta in play today. Anyone have any stories about Aisha Tyler?

I've said it before and I'll repeat it here:

If these farksticks tried half as hard to make sure their employees were half as well-compensated as they are, we wouldn't have wage or retirement-income problems.

Hell, make a rule that for every nonliquid piece of compensation (stock cert, option, etc) the executives get, they have to put a fraction of THE SAME THING in an "employee compensation fund" that executives aren't allowed to touch, save for distribution to nonexecutive employees. If the CEO gets $1 million in "compensation" from gimmicks like TFA, the fund would have $100,000 (or whatever percentage) to distribute to pensions, profit-sharing, deposit into a 401(k) or IRA, or even (gasp!) as a bonus pool to be paid out in liquids.

Mandatory profit-sharing? Why, that might incentivize employees to work for the benefit of the company!

I much prefer the BBC version of Sherlock, and I generally dislike most British television.

I wish they had Rule 63'd Sherlock Holmes rather than John Watson.  Just sayin'.

I have been saying this for years, however, no one else really seems to care.

Short of a mass countrywide work stoppage (will never happen), I only see the wage gap getting worse.

I would say that in 20 years, the middle class will be non-existent. There will be the rich and the poor...period.

Why would a company ALLOW their employees to access FB from company computers?

I see no problem with that.

Mine does openly you see people surfing on it all the time. What's funny is though is that the moron who is in marketing who is way beyond her depth and came over from Sprint has yet to give our company any kind of social media presence. She refuses to take that leap and at least use it for basic stuff like press releases or updates to our products, nope she keeps pissing off her employees and makes sure we don't do anything. I do have to laugh though because one of the first requests a manager ever made to the security people when I first started was to block facebook, that request was denied. We also give users admin rights to their computers.Things are so backwards it's not even funny.
