Arthur Jumbles: FTFA:On a leave of absence since allegations of inappropriate communication with a woman surfaced last August, Bishop Matthias, 64, would have celebrated his two-year anniversary as leader of the church in Chicago and the Midwest this month.

With a woman? The Orthodox church is a lot different from the Catholic church, it seems.

In the Orthodox Church, priests are encouraged to marry and have always been able to marry. Monks and Bishops are to be celibate. When you go through seminary you make the choice to go one route or the other. I hafta say that I wonder what woman looked at a 60+ Orthodox hairy-ass Bishop and said "Man, I've gotta get a piece of that."

brandent: Huck And Molly Ziegler: It appears that the Sick tag is an irrational overstatement. Because the clergyman doesn't seem to have touched a boy or girl or attacked a woman or a man, if he only had "inappropriate communication," then he should only deserve a reprimand, it seems to me.
"I do repent of using poor judgment, of using inappropriate words that I thought were being received as humorous," he said.
He made a frat-boy remark??

Is there other info out there I'm unaware of?

crappy article is crappy.  looks like it might have been repeatedly to many women but hard to tell.

According to another priest in the facebook comments, it was something he "said in jest". So I'm guessing he called up a woman and said he wanted to take a shower with her and rub her all over with that falafel thing.
