I'm from the same small dusty Oklahoma town as Maria and went to school with several of her kinfolk. I could give a shiat less about ballet but it was always cool to have someone so famous come from such a small town.

Yeah, I wondered about that too.  Is subby one of the "the only good Indian is..." crowd, or was the tag used to describe the woman's life and career?  I have to believe it was the latter.  Not a good choice, though.
