Wow, someone actually used the term "irony" correctly.  On fark no less.

Of course the real crime is that we don't have a "socratic irony" tag.

"It turns out that homeless man Alexander Flefleh lucked out on his birthday, no less-the train rolled over him without hitting him, and he survived his injuries despite suffering head trauma."

She runs her son over metaphorically after he'd just been run over literally. Such maternal devotion is all too rare.

I'd say he is not homeless, he just refuses to be tied down.  Who among us has not trestled with inner demons?

Still, if I'm gauging his reaction correctly, this may be the kick in the caboose he needs.

From the comments:

What idiot leaves barriers off of the train track pit trap? What idiot leaves raised tracks to cause injuries when customers fall off into the train track pit trap? Geez why not have some snakes and a couple lions running loose spin the idiot designers a few times and have them wear their THIS IS SAFE t-shirts and let them demonstrate.
Why not deem this a swimming pool have have swimming pool statutes apply?.

???
