What the hell breed of horse is that anyways?

Don't think I've ever seen it's like.

Oreo cookie perhaps?

Delicious. Definitely delicious with a bit of teriyaki sauce.

Yes, well everything is better with teriyaki. EVERYTHING!

You misspelled bacon

Wait! Teriyaki bacon. Is that even possible? Has this been done yet? It seems to me the two, when combined, would evaporate in a puff of ethereal deliciousness.

Arthur Jumbles: BSABSVR: Up on a hill, by yet another Kim statue, the strangest thing happens: I pick up a phone signal from the South only a few kilometres away.
If I can do this, so can a North Korean. The digital revolution is eating away at the regime's control - and that makes it harder to keep people brainwashed.

Except for the whole issue where North Koreans don't have cell phones.

Cells phones are small and there are these people called smugglers who will do illegal things for money.

Money grows on trees in North Korea, and contraband and people flow freely over the border.  The average citizen is just waiting to buy cell phones and blu ray players with his or her massive surplus of funding.

After my belly is filled with the finest mud and grass, my first priority is  clearly going to be a doodad that can get me killed.

It's hard to imagine a worse source for anything regarding North Korea, unless Kim is dissing Beyonce on Twitter or something

I liked this one myself:
The tourist coach is a great tool of totalitarian power: one microphone, one exit.

It's an old bus.  Settle the fark down.  My car allows me to control the radio from my steering wheel, and on the driver's door I can override my passengers' window preferences and even lock them in!  It's not a symbol of incipient fascism.  It's just a car.

North Korea is an obviously shiatty place, it shouldn't be this much work to find metaphors.

You laugh, but Kim Jung Un (blessed be his name), not 10 minutes after that photo was taken, slaughtered the horse, distributed the meat to his desciples, and fed the ENTIRE nation off of just one horse!
