They deserved it.  Those people at the party were Dancing!  In Georgia!

At some point, seven men and one woman went skinny dipping, according to the AP.

That has "trouble" written all over it.

Billy Skaggs, the department's chief operating officer

Seriously?  That is one southern fried name.

One should never go skinny dipping alone. And without at least one woman.

Sausage fest. You're doing it wrong.
Hope the fish weren't biting that night.
Worms, worms everywhere.

I had an interesting discussion with a former hillbilly (he done went to college).

Their formal names sound very noble.  William Edward Skaggs.  Sounds like it should have "5th Earl of Devonshire" after it.

But they go by "Bill Ed" or "Skeeter"

Ugh. Retards from western Michigan do that exact same thing.  "My friend James Michael Davis and I... " becomes "Me and my buddy Jimmy Mike..."  It sounds dumber than all hell.

Yes, but in the South, Jimmy Mike will be the Lt Governor.

/And Skeeter will be the Governor

Seven skinny dippers, only one female.  The planning committee should be held accountable!

Right. If they were really British aristocracy, they'd go by Chuffie or Skiffy.

I wonder if they'd have had to resign if the woman hadn't gone too.

The thing is, for the Brit-twits those names would only be used between friends. Your gameskeeper would not call you Chuffie. Nor would even anotjer aristo to whom you were not familiar. Conversely, in the South, it would be your standard moniker. Your wife would scream it out during sex, as would your fishing buddies. There were friends of my father, that I knew for my entire childhood and young adult life, that I only found out their given name upon looking at their obituaries. You call a man Mr. Jimmy your entire life, to only find out he was actually William Arthur Jones - and no one either finds this strange or can tell you why the fark he was "Jimmy".

If I found out that my fishing buddies screamed out my name during sex, I'd get different fishing buddies.
