Not quite. I looked it up online because I thought the game as described in the book was completely pointless because catching the "snitch" was an automatic win. So it seemed like everyone else was just killing time while waiting to see who caught the snitch. Apparently the people who play this game for real now agree with this idea because they changed the scoring.

Have a look here for the basic rules.

To be honest, it sounds somewhat fun, but if I am running around like that with a ball I'd rather just play a proper game such as rugby and call it a day.

I donated 10 dollars so the team from the my alma mater could make the trip. I never played, but I had friends that did and they always had a great time. I figured I could help them out a little

A local TV station reports they also had a Kidditch games for the little ones.
