"Montecito, Ca - Home of Natural Causes" is far and away the worst city slogan I have ever seen.

Jonathan Winters, who was known for his improv work that inspired many a contemporary stand-up comic including Robin Williams

There is no amount of good he could have possibly brought to the world to make up for that.

I've been to Yuma. Same thing.

My father met him once while leaving a gun store somewhere near Ventura, CA.  My dad was leaving with a rifle and Winters was chatting with the staff.  He looked at my father and said, "There's a sniper on that building across the street with his sights on you."

My dad just looked at him and said, "I hope not, I still have money at the Winters National Bank."

Winters just looked at him and frowned and said, "I've got my eye on you."

In his memory I will scotch tape 126 pigeons to my arms.

Between him and Cosby and Mad magazine the world was a funny place for me when I was a kid.  I'll miss him a lot, but he left a lot of funny behind for all of us.

Godspeed, Lennie Pike!

The scene where Winters, Arnold Stang and Marvin Kaplan completely dismantle a gas station during a brawl kills me.

And the look on his face when Phil Silvers drives off without Winters, leaving him stranded in the desert with a crumpled up bicycle was priceless.
