You know, I see this news and it reminds me of how old I am.
But I don't let it bring me down.

"If Harrison Ford drops out of Star Wars VII, I'll do the job."

That might be the only way I'll go see a new Star Wars.

Why not?

He has more spare time than any of us.  And we post crap all day anyway.

I'm not sure which is weirder: Neil Young's dreams? Or our reality (in which Neil Young keeps and online dream journal AND eats at Medieval Times with Dave Grohl like it's the most normal thing ever).

/seriously doubting the authenticity of this blog.

Neil Young?  Absolutely.  Dude has a ton of creative energy still.  Total workaholic.

Hadn't realized he was working with Dr John, one of the coolest people on the planet.

I've always liked Neil but some of his work can be, ah, puzzling. I don't think anyone has listened to Greendale lately.

However, if you've never walked home from downtown, drunk, singing "Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere" you have lead a sad, sad life.

This is definitely Neil writing the blog. Having read his book, I'm pretty confident that he's writing out his dreams now. When he gets a hold of an idea, he usually obsesses on it for awhile and then takes a break and come back to it again later, just like he does with his music !

CSB:

As they're wheeling me on a gurney towards the examination room, I was very concerned. Quite frankly, I've never had a camera shoved up my butt before.   But, as age goes, it's pretty much time, so I relented to the procedure.  As we turned the last corner, I hear the muffled thump thump thump of drums.  Some lab tech has their stereo turned up I suppose.  When they opened the door to the exam room, it became obvious that the stereo was originating from THERE.  As they wheeled me in, Neil sang out the anguished chorus to "F*ckin' Up"...... "Why do I keep f*ckin' up?"..... Fine, I thought - a fitting song for someone about to go through a procedure like mine.  I figured once the doctor got in they would turn down the stereo, but they didn't.  They just injected some happy juice into my IV and I didn't care about much anymore.  Neil continued singing more of his hits while the doctor probed and prodded.

Really?
I have it, and after going through it once don't think I'll ever listen to it again.  I believe it to be a tune-up for Psychedelic Pill.

Seems odd Neil would only post photos that are from Thrashers Wheat.

He has been posting his dreams in song all along.

I was chopping down a palm tree
when a friend stopped by to ask
If I would feel less lonely
if he helped me swing the ax.
I said No, it's not a case of being
lonely we have here.
I've been working on this palm tree
for eighty-seven years.
He said Go get lost
and walked toward his Cadillac
I chopped down the palm tree
and it landed on his back.

He calls his fanbois "squirrels" and actually thinks we want to hear about his embellished dream rememberings/ramblings.  It seems authentic.

If this is Neil, I am pleased his dreams are just as messed up as mine.

The one where Sean Connery went to fight the giant robot made from rusty cars while me and John Lydon led the citizens to safety from the zombie cheerleader beauty queens while planets filled the sky is my personal favourite.
