I don't want to split hairs with you, subby, but "shear genius" is not a pun when you spell out the homonym. So cut it out, before some people with real roots in punning come over make you look silly.

Do they have to put a pointless gif between each one? God buzzfeed sucks.

If I owned a pubic hair extension salon, I'd call it "Weave it to Beaver".

Hey, it is better than the countless unfunny "Top 10 Lists" links that we used to be subjected to from bbspot back in the day...

Not a salon name, but I once had a haircut from a talented stylist called "Rick O'Shay". I know it's not really that clever, but it cracked me up at the time.

Bonus: he could be conservatively characterized as "just a tad effeminate", and acted like a total Diva in the salon, so he had the whole stereotype going.

There must be 3 or 4 Curl up and Dyes near my hometown.

Slightly related, and only a bit belated (the 75th Anniversary of the BHS was yesterday), a lot of Barbershop Quartets (and a few Choruses) have some excellent punny names.

(Note: These days, "Barbershop" as one word generally refers to the made-in-America [well, adapted in America from African tribal music] musical genre. "Barber Shop" as two words is where one gets a haircut.)

Examples:

• A quartet (which went on to become International medalists, twice, and the lead of whom passed away just this week) who often performed dressed as three surgeons and a patient, called "Chordiac Arrest." They sang such hits as, "Yes, We Do Make a Barrel of Money," "I Left Your Heart in San Francisco," and "Nothin' Could be Finah Than a Little Ol' Angina In the Morning."

• A quartet of four underaged teens called "Minors Aloud." This is a multiple-level pun, since songs in a minor key are somewhat rare and generally discouraged in Barbershop.

• A quartet of pre-teens (when they started) called "Treblemakers."

• A chorus in Oklahoma City called "The OK Chorale."

Krymson Tyde: There must be 3 or 4 Curl up and Dyes near my hometown.

It's also the name of Carrie Fisher's beauty salon in The Blues Brothers.

When Grateful Head was opening up in my neighbourhood I hoped it was going to be a head shop.

Not really a pun, but I used to get my hair cut at a place called The Head Shed.

Oh, and screw Buzzfeed, and screw all those "Featured Partner" links.

I'm forced to admit that "Great Head" got a laugh.

It's the name of the beauty shop in every cheesey romance ever written.
