Those aren't one liners.

I do agree with Kimmell (Kimmel? Kimell?), in the history books when they define MOVIE STAR, seriously it'll be Tom Cruise. He defines everything about it.

And he may be crazy, but got damn is he awesome in movies.

/when they come back from the clip, he looks like he's a bashful 20-something with the way he's sitting.
//he's 50 isn't he?
/so weird

Was that opening trailer for Oblivion supposed to make us want to actually see it?

sure haven't: I do agree with Kimmell (Kimmel? Kimell?), in the history books when they define MOVIE STAR, seriously it'll be Tom Cruise. He defines everything about it.

Agreed, but it's not necessarily a good thing about his pure acting abilities. He's best as a "lead" in a straight action/thriller where his dynamic Tom Cruise-ism can just dominate the film, but for the most part he's not exactly the master of nuance or subtlety in his craft.

Oh absolutely, I agree with you on that. He's no Mark Strong, he's just the living emodiment of flash and pizazz. Living the "dream". The big smile, action movies, etc.

I did want to see it until I saw that bit of it.  It was bad, and was that supposed to be a booblehead on the dash?

Image Swartzeneger saying them.

After chasing and catching the bad guy in a department store, he crushes his head with a panini maker. (looks over at store manager) What's your return policy on this panini makaaa?

I was actually thinking the same thing when I first saw a clip of the movie.  When I was watching this clip I thought it was some kind of SNL parody it was so bad.

Wow, he had no capacity to make those lines even remotely interesting.  I'm honestly surprised, he deadpanned all of them.

He gets a lifetime pass for the role of Frank T.J. Mackey.

I was thinking more along the lines of:

Bad guy chases Arnold through Sam's Club, Arnold gets the drop on him and squashes his head in a panini press.  Arnold goes back to the car and Chong's daughter asks "What happened to Sully?"  Arnold replies "He had a more pressing engagement."

a bobblehead that wasn't moving, and yeah I thought it was a parody or an outtake at best. That just looked /horrible/.

Eh, my favorite role of his is still Tropic Thunder.

I wanted to see it based on the commercials, but I wouldn't see anything with Tommy in it if I were paid in solid gold.

Why, is it really awful?
