Satanic_Hamster: "So your small government, freedom first party thinks that the state and federal government should have the power to jail a married couple for engaging in oral sex."

Sorry, pet peeve.

Satanic_Hamster: Supes: Serious Black: Oh man, I can't believe I didn't see this originally. Bryan Fischer tweeted yesterday: "Whether GOP even has a future at stake tomorrow. RNC expresses support for sodomy-based marriage, GOP is finished."

What the fark is a sodomy-based marriage?

I suspect this may have to do with the RNC's failure to support Ken Cuccinelli in his war to get all sodomy outlawed in Virginia. Yes, this was intended to include oral between two consenting opposite sex married adults.

Love Republicans on this issue.

"So your party thinks that the state and federal government should have the power to jail a married couple for engaging in oral sex."

My ex and I should have been charged with several hundred felonies and thrown in jail for the rest of our lives if they had their way.

What sort of protest could one organize around the anti-passage effort? A Blow-In? (Actually, isn't the definition of "sodomy" any sexual contact other than penile/vaginal? Could we have a Fingerin'?)

The Virginia law only addressed anal and oral. But that would still make about 90% of Virginians felons:

www.motherjones.com

The law made this a Class 6 felony punishable by 1 to 5 years in prison. Not sure Virginia would have the prison space for all those rambunctious criminals.

How about rendering unto Caesar what is Caesar's?  Christ made pretty clear that a) love/charity is the greatest thing, b) greed or pride the most evil, and c) religion should be separate from politics.

When is the Republican party going to realize that this tight rope they're trying to walk is really a razor blade?
