I have to say that I was on the beach in San Diego last year and I was unimpressed with the "talent" on display. It could be that it was early May and beach bunnies hadn't started to show up yet.

Having a Facebook page or being on Twitter is 'web-savvy'?

We looked into that, and couldn't find any evidence that businesses* get any benefit from having a Facebook or Twitter presence.

*We restricted the search to legitimate businesses whose primary product is not a Facebook game.

Well, two observations: 1. San Diego's typical "May Gray" does not draw the "bunnies" out of hibernation and, 2. You could have been on any one of probably twenty or so beaches in San Diego; some of which draw better talent than others.

yeah, PB and OB are your best bets.  If you're looking for talent in mid may, you gotta wait until the sun goes down on a Saturday night and be around like the Typhoon Salon or PB Bar and Grill, you'll see all the 20-somethings that want you to buy all their drinks and say nary a word to them.

/bitter much?
//no, I just can't stand PB anymore, too many young kids.  Girls who can't drink without excess and are completely void of personality and dudes who are either Jocks or Fratboys...which is just annoying to be around.

"Talent". Great.

Anyway, I'm from San Diego. There are a lot of tech companies in SD. A LOT. I guess this is surprising if you don't know anything about the West Coast. There are also a ton of biotech and pharmaceutical companies companies. Also one of the largest fishing fleets in the world, and one of the largest military complexes.

All I saw was an ad for a shiny shiny thing.

A huge part of why I'm going back to school to become a pharmacist is so I can move back to San Diego. Farking sick of Seattle.

I moved from San Diego to Oregon.

My goal is now to make enough money to live in California again.

Babes?  There's a reason it's called "Man Diego".  Farking Navy/Marine Corp.

Visited a friend in San Diego last August. It was so damn nice. Just beautiful beaches and babes everywhere. Too bad they're probably all sick of being chased by frat boys and flyboys. Well, maybe that might actually work in my favor.
