It'shiat the e-brake long enough to break traction, stomp gas and then steer in the opposite direction of tornado.  If that doesn't work right away, down shift.

It's the original example of the vileness that is known as St. Louis Style Pizza. Basically "Provel" cheese (some mixture of mozzarella an provolone) spread thinly over a saltine cracker-like crust. Some people love it; I am not one of them.

Yeah, Imo's is pretty mediocre.  On the other hand, provel (mixed 1:1 with plain yogurt) makes a damn good substitute for ricotta when making lasagna and other Italian dishes.

Just curious...are you from here originally?  I'm conducting a very non-scientific poll.  So far, the born-and-bred folks like it; transplants don't.

No, not originally.  I've been in southern Illinois for 8-9 years now; we do have Imo's here and it's also just across the border into MO.  We've had Imo's a few times--not the worst thing I've eaten, but fairly far down the list of places I'd get food from here.  The locals seem to like it.

Or were you asking about the provel?  That has its uses, but I'm not as keen on it as a pizza topping.

important missing information:  How far was the car moved by the tornado?  Are we talking 20 feet? or 200?

I'm a sort-of stl native-- parents from stl and moved back when I was 8. Love the stuff (though it doesn't sit terribly well). Rest of the family loves it too. Any friends that moved in from out of town didn't care for it. Husband from KC had to have it a number of times before it would stay put. Strange stuff.

So yes, I support your theory.

I feel for the guy. I didn't have the pleasure of riding mine (a nice f2) out in a car, My brother and I were caught out in the open. It dropped down in the corner of one of our fields while we were trying to herd up and secure our horses, and we took off at a dead run for the basement of our house. The front yard was fenced in, so we were slowed down getting to the door of the basement (where we had a poured reinforced concrete tornado room). When we reached the door, my other brother was there watching us running up. He panicked when he saw the tornado right behind and proceeded to lock the double door and run for the tornado room. My bro and I turned around thinking we might could run around the back of the house and get in the rear basement door, but we didn't get  more than 20 feet before the storm picked us up and tossed us THROUGH the double door in the basement. Lying there on the concrete floor, very much shaken up and with small cuts all over from the glass in the door, my brother and I watched the tornado demolish a section of the outside porch and then move on up the valley.
My later recollection was that flying through the air completely out of control was the weirdest thing a person can experience, and DEFINITELY not something I ever want to do again.

sorry about the long tale, but it's all true. There are still torn up trees along the path of that twister on the old farm.

/CSB done.

But I think Provel is a mixture of provolone and american cheese (which is even worse)...

Last question first: We found the horses highly confused but unharmed wandering about a mile up the valley. The brother swore repeatedly that he didn't lock (deadbolt, BTW) the door, and he wound up doing fence repair for a week. He still says he has no recollection of locking the door and bolting like a scared rabbit for cover.  I get a nifty story to tell out of it anyway. We still have one of the horses, a big (17 hands) gelding with a bad attitude and a scarlet coat. Half Rocky Mountain horse, Half Tennessee walker.
