There is literally nowhere you can go for hot pix of Cyndi.

What's she even look like these days? Granted she was cute in her 30s. 30 years ago.

He's single, and Lauper is (extremely) over the AoC.  The only possible problem is if he was hitting on pop stars during a floor vote or something.

Of all the things he could have done, this is tame compared to most Congressmen.  Keep on still livin' in the 80's, dude.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess. I don't have particularly high standards and I find her hideous... today and yesterday.

I suppose my general disdain for pop-80s music might have clouded my opinion to some degree, but... nah, that's not it. She's farking nasty.

2013-04-11 11:51:21 PM
I suppose tweeting Ms. Lauper nasty notes is a step up from doing the same to the woman you found out is your daughter.

Indeed. That's why '84 was only included hyphonetically*  (I can't deny I like Distant Early Warning).

FWIW, I saw them in Camden, NJ about three years ago and, seriously, they were effing awesome. The 2nd set began with the entire Moving Pictures album and the encore was Working Man. The only disappointment in my mind was that they didn't play Fly by Night. But seriously awesome.

I'd agree on the time period for sure, but I was more of a new wave fan. Everything went to shiat around 1984, though. Ovation and Hamer guitars Meh.

The first time I saw Rush was for Signals and the last time was for Presto.  I'm glad to see they're still in top form but I was pretty underwhelmed by Presto (or maybe it was because the Great Western Forum sucked balls for concerts).

What's funny is the only time I ever did karaoke I was tricked into it by a guy doing a Lauper song. He went around the bar at the end of "Time After Time" and just stuck the mike in people's faces so they would sing. I was kinda drunk and just went along with it. The thing is he and another guy had done "Total Eclipse of the Heart" in awesome heavy metal voices earlier.

So there's my Lauper/Tyler connection.

According to Glenn Beck this is just the start of Obama's plan to create an American monarchy and start decapitating people.

He really said that.

I work with a guy who's late 40s and has seen them about 20 times since the late '70s and was at the same show I was and said their performance was one of the best he's ever seen ( to be clear, not the best 'show', but musically he thought they were as tight as he'd ever seen them).

LAMO!

Time after Time is a composition by a member of Philly-area band "The Hooters". I went to Archbishop Wood High School from '81-'85 and our school won a write-in contest and had The Hooters play at my school during the '84-'85 year when I graduated. Pics of it are in my yearbook.

No kidding. What, are we supposed to look fondly back on '90s music? Where everybody glumly whined about how much life sucked? No thank you.

Are you referring to the 80's in general or the '80-'83 'age'?

I'd hate to think, or know, that you are, for example, a Dream Theater fan.
