I remember him back on "Silver Spoons". I feel they dropped him from the show because he had a better screen presence than bland Ricky Schroeder. He stole every scene he was in with Ricky. So they brought in someone blander than Ricky to replace him: Alfonso Ribeiro.

I am really going to have a hard time being upset with Jason for peeping on Erin Grey in the mid-80s.

Yeah...they gave him his own show after that. "It's Your Move", I think. All I can remember about that show was the aweful hockey clip in the show's intro. The 2 on 0 passing play...you know...he wore a helmet during the play, then all the sudden after he scored he was not wearing the helmet and waving to his family watching from the stands? Anyone?

For years I have had this memory of a young "too cool for school" kid in some sitcom practicing picking locks with a see-through combination lock. I think it must have been from "It's Your Move".

I love how Jason Bateman has managed to stay relevant. He plays such a variety of off-beat characters, and brings this unique comic fun to every odd movie he's in. Most child actors grow, do some 1-off acting, and gaze into their navel, or they binge it on cocaine and heroin and pull a Dana Plato. THere is another group that goes the Gary Coleman and Todd Bridges route and goes off the whacko rails(Scary how you can sum up almost every child start disaster story with a Diff'rent Strokes actor). The only other group is the Kirk Cameron "bananas are proof of God" freaks. Bateman has avoided ALL of those, and become someone I look forward to in movies, and I never even got into Arrested Development. I had too many shows on my plate when it launched, and kind of missed it all, except for a few single episodes.

New film looks cool.  Looking forward to seeing him in something serious since Teen Wolf 2.  AD can't come back fast enough!

I loved that show. When I saw the headline, I immediately assumed he used to peep Caren Kaye. God knows I would have.

I loved that show, but they made everyone be nicer in later episodes, which tolled its death.

Bateman is awesome and I am glad to see him working again. I will even forgive him for Teen Wolf 2.

Before I am corrected mercilessly...the intro with the terrible hockey seen was "Valerie". Bateman's sitcom after "It's Your Move". I looked it up.

Yeah, I watched him in that. Then I watched him when he moved on to Valerie/Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family/The Hogan's. Then I watched him on Arrested Development. I probably saw him in other stuff in between those shows.

/no, I'm not a stalker

Season 3...which was already renamed Hogan's Family...I think because Sandy Duncan took over for Valerie Harper.

Wait a minute...Jason Bateman reveals info about the new Arrested Development episodes, and that isn't all everyone in the Fark comments is talking about??

Did I wake up in some kind of mirror universe? Do you all have goatees?

Beat me to it.  I never saw "It's Your Move" but remembered the hockey scene in the intro.

As for me, I can't view the videos at work (no sound) so I'll have to wait until I get home to hear what he has to say about it.

I do. I can only assume that there exists a parallel universe containing a good, clean-shaven version of me.

Child-like typing detected.

Also, she's 63 now, but still looked pretty good in the final season of The Guild. The aftermarket parts did a great job balancing the fact that she isn't 30 anymore.

If you never watched the old Buck Rogers show, I can understand not getting it. I recall her character on Silver Spoons being more matronly and certainly less sexy than her role on Buck Rogers and its accompanying metallic jumpsuits. She was a great example of attractive yet wholesome TV talent of the late '70s-early '80s, and it's good to see she's aged quite well.

Huh, I remember "It's Your Move", and really liking it as a kid.  I also remember the show started out with Bateman being a real scoundrel and then turning nicer and the show getting shiattier as a result.  But I didn't realize that I remembered these things.

My mind is blown.

It was Valerie's Family...or Hogan's Family...or whatever freakin' title they were using in Season 3.

What I learned today from watching the Intros from that sitcom is it was about a family full of mediocre athletes.

I loved that show.  It was him in a constant battle with the neighbor from Married with Children.  Not Ted McGinley.  The first guy.

I think I remember the show more fondly that I probably should.

I really hope that the Arrested Development episodes aren't so complicated that you haveto stop and go to each different one...I really won't like that.

Hopefully they make sense if all watchedi.imgur.com in order, but I'm sure they will be have to watched all within a short time of each other.

This pretty much explains why this isn't an Arrested Development fest. Slow crowd.
