Ah, press releases from the ACS meeting

It's important to note that the media isn't invited to the actual talks, nor would they come if they could.

I, for one, appreciate curiosity that doesn't take itself too seriously.
I appreciate anything that doesn't take itself too seriously because therein lies the doorway to discovery.
Applies both internally and externally.

Sounds like it was more of a symposium.

Nothing is better than a bottle of sangria and peanut butter spread on thick wheat bread. Merlot with a hard mild cheese like cheddar is pretty good too.

ACS having a session on beer and alcohol?    Meh, they're just jealous of the American Society of Brewing Chemists.

Neither did any of the chemist, everyone I know who went there, gave their talk, then hit Bourbon Street for the rest of the conference.

You should at least stay for your session... it's really bad form to just show up for your talk then book it out of there. And that's only a couple hours out of your day. Unless your session is on Thursday -- then nobody else is there anyway and you're literally talking to an empty room.

Drink lots of water, pop four ibuprophen, eat food. Works for me.

All I know is last weekend I drank too much and had a nasty hangover. Then the other day I drank about the same amount and had none.

This can only mean it's non-deterministic.
