Sunday was a bad day for WWE injuries.  The Rock got screwed up during his match as well:

They probably took CO2 fire extinguishers and hosed him down with them. I doubt a simple "fog machine" could do that.

ArkAngel: bluorangefyre: So Trips had two options:

a)  seek immediate medical attention
b)  proceed with a 20-minute butt whoopin' session at the hands of Brock Lesnar in front of 80,000 fans and millions more watching on PPV at the biggest wrestling event of them all?

This'll give him some cred. Look at what happened with Bob Holly after he finished the match with RVD

Was in the arena for that one, it was almost cartoonish how much blood was spilled.  During the break after the match, the crew scrambled to change not only the mat, but the turnbuckle ropes as well.

Then after the show their was a rush of people wanting to buy Hardcore Holly merch, which the WWE geniuses had, of course, neglected to stock.  They still had plenty of Kevin Thorne shirts, though...

RoyFokker'sGhost: Plus, apparently Brock got knocked out when he took that boot to the jaw at the 2:40 mark and wrestled the rest of the match with a concussion. So yeah, that match was just one big clusterfark all over.

Wouldn't be the first concussion buddy has had. Triple H really didn't have to work like he was in Japan. I understand working stuff, but he busted Brock open and now the concussion? Must be payback for him leaving all those years ago.

No, I think it's that Brock just hasn't been able to transition back from MMA to Pro Wrestling. He's too used to full striking now. First night he came back to WWE (last year), he busted Cena's lip wide open on a basic brawl shoot. And he's botched other sports too, botched them bad enough to get people hurt. That's why he was basically unseen from the Cena fight last year (Extreme Rules?) until the set up for WM this year: re-training. And i don't think that it totally took. Brock getting busted open a couple weeks ago wasn't Trip's fault; Brock botched the spot. My buddy and I think that's why the WM match was so tame by No Holds Barred standards: would you trust a guy that botches to where he hurts himself and others with sledgehammers or kendo sticks? If you re-watch the match, Brock doesn't do much other than physical domination, HHH does the most improvising with scenery. The only thing Brock really did was bullrush with the stairs, and that's an easy take by putting your arm up. And with Brock having the concussion early in the match, an audible probably got called and HHH toned down the plans for using scenery. That match was pure improv called by HHH in the ring to do simple spots and holds to salvage what they could.

I haven't been much into wrestling for about 15 years, so I'll just drop three rants/conversation-starters and get out.

-I think it's awesome that the writers have decided to make the Undertaker's invincibility at Wrestlemania a permanent thing
-Bring back Golddust and Val Venis. Oh, and Al Snow.
-Anyone else remember when Triple-H's character was a snobby Brit named Hunter Hearst Helmsley? I do.

-That'll change next year.  Watch Taker give the very un-needed rub to Cena.
-Goldust was at this year's Royal Rumble.  There were talk of having him feud with his baby brother Cody, but he's since said that the appearance was a one shot deal.  Val has burned a fair share of bridges, so look for him at your local indies.  Al is happy (I guess) being an agent/Gut Check judge for TNA.
-I also remember him as Jean-Paul Levesque and Terra Ryzin.

Actually the main reason you didn't see him was because of the contract he has with the WWE. It has a set number of appearances and Vince needed/wanted him for Wrestlemania so he wasn't going to waste un-needed appearances. One of the news sites did the math, he gets roughly $350k per appearance. Nice work if you can get it,

Rock, Cena, Gagna and Ryback will never get hit with a drug test. If you are making them a lot of money, you won't get nailed.
