TheHighlandHowler: NEW YORK Penal Law 240.35 (4):Being masked or in any manner disguised by unusual or unnatural attire or facial alteration, loiters, remains or congregates in a public place with other persons so masked or disguised, or knowingly permits or aids persons so masked or disguised to congregate in a public place; except that such conduct is not unlawful when it occurs in connection with a masquerade party or like entertainment if, when such entertainment is held in a city which has promulgated regulations in connection with such affairs, permission is first obtained from the police or other appropriate authorities; (National Lawyers Guild NYC Chapter paper on the(law dates from 1845)
I_Can't_Believe_it's_not_Boutros: Authorities need to stop this before the freaks get mixed up with the drug addicts. There's nothing worse than a furry with the syringe on top.
Lutrasimilis: Elmo is a furry now?And Dora? And Spiderman?
Tax Boy: why tourists insist on hanging about in times square is a complete mystery to me. there's nothing there but shiatty restaurants, tourist-trap souvenir shops, and the same stores you'd find at any mall in the world (just bigger).there's so much to do and see in nyc, and they all just hang out there 24-7.
ds_4815: The fandom definition's pretty loose as it is. I'd imagine anything from baseball mascots to drawing Pokemon art would be considered "furry" in the right (wrong?) context.
iheartscotch: I thought we had to embrace our differences. Those would have to include furries./ or that's what everybody says about gay marriage; are furries denied rights because they are furries?
Fano: iheartscotch: I thought we had to embrace our differences. Those would have to include furries./ or that's what everybody says about gay marriage; are furries denied rights because they are furries?that road leads to turtle farking
TheHighlandHowler: There's already some NYC law about wearing masks in public.
StrangeQ: So Times Square has been turned into a cheesy theme park attraction. Do none of those "performers" have to pay royalties to the intellectual property holders of the characters they portray?
