Well, you're always going to have a down year when everyone is injured, especially your starting goaltender.  Of course, losing Parise hurt, too, but it looks like the devils had 0% chance of keeping him because he wanted to go home to Minnesota.  Just have to see what the offseason has in store for the Devils- they do need to get younger, though.

I think that he's playing for the Slovakian (where he's from) KHL team,HC Slovan Bratislava

Yea I know. I've heard rumblings that a lot of Russian players may return home when their current contract is up. The last lockout cost them enough that the "extra" they were being payed over home was lost and then some. Don't know if it will really happen.
