NK miscalculates, someone does something stupid, UN passes charter, SK and US flatten the NK military, SK and China team up to 'peace keep' NK with UN blessings.

I'm just glad to see that someone is blaming the U.S. for everything. We've never seen that before.

airsupport: I don't get it.

Neither do I.  None of my more serious, relevant comments get replies.  Interesting how folks here get hung up on one post and a thread will be 150 replies to the same thing...often a grammatical mistake or the like.

This post had absolutely no relevance whatsoever and someone responded.  Go figure...

/oh well, I must remember....this is fark

sure haven't: "fatty won't do sh*t"

What the hell are they up to? Any act of war against anyone turns them into a smoking parking lot. When USA, China, Russia, Germany, etc have teamed up on you, the best case scenario is you get killed instantly.

And if it's some play for help... why not just open your doors and ask for it? F*cking idiots.

Nothing. They aren't actually preparing for a war or anything; life in NK continues on as usual. My guess is all this war talk on the part of NK is for the folks in Peoria, so to speak, but I think Un's miscalculated how willing the US gov is to pretend propaganda is meant seriously when they're looking for a reason to be bellicose. Right now, the gov and the military-industrial types want a good reason to avoid those meager sequester cuts they "agreed to" last year as part of their plan to slash SS and Medicare. I doubt those cuts will ever take place -when Gates proposed far better ones that would actually be smart and improve efficiency during his last year as SecDef Congress just flat-out refused to do it- and I'm not necessarily saying hostilities will start up because of this, but I do think the US media will continue to make mountains out of these silly mole-hills for a while yet, that the hullabaloo will be used to justify reneging on the cuts (or at least, an attempt will be made to do that while funding is simply re-routed through other channels), and that Un is playing a much more dangerous game here than he realizes. This sort of unserious saber-rattling really needs to be reserved for 1) when there's no major election coming up in the US, and 2) when there are no major budget fights going on in the US, and 3) when there are no major scandals going on in the US that pols might want a distraction from. Un really showed poor timing in choosing to release these statements now, and if he wants to be dictator as long as his father was he'd better learn to pay more attention to the US domestic situation. Poor timing like this, combined with a less stable or cynical US administration, could have some fairly negative consequences.

I like reading about the threat of thermonuclear war as much as the next guy, but 5 of the last 8 threads posted have been NK related. Give it a rest already.
